The Marion County News Journal publishes 13,500 copies that are distributed throughout Marion County each week. Our staff takes pride in publishing a weekly paper that is neat in appearance, cost effective for the advertisers and an asset to the community of Marion County. Our editorial content is community oriented. Popular weekly features include a historic photograph, called “Do You Remember?,”

a “Neighbor” who is part of our community, a local column by our editor, Cindy Lesieur, an Opinion page and Lifestyles section reporting on local events and people including weddings and clubs news. There is also a Sports and Community News page focusing on our young athletes and on-going weekly events. We feature local writers that include Family Memories that tell stories from the past, and Marion County officials from senators and representatives to mayors and city/county administrators.
