Marvel dropped another bombshell at Hall H last evening: Avengers: Kang Dynasty has been renamed to Avengers: Doomsday, with none other than Robert Downey Jr. starring as Doctor Doom! Directed by the legendary Russo Brothers, this epic film will hit theaters in May 2026. The Russo Brothers are also set to return for Avengers: Secret Wars, coming to theaters in May 2027.

The excitement reached a fever pitch when Robert Downey Jr. himself showed up at the panel, sending the crowd into a frenzy!

🚀 BREAKING! Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four: First Steps Officially Announced at Comic-Con! 🚀

Marvel Studios took over Hall H at Comic-Con today with some truly spectacular news! The upcoming Fantastic Four film is officially titled “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”. Director Matt Shakman revealed this exciting tidbit during an action-packed panel, where we also got a glimpse at an early teaser reel.

The real surprise? The cast members were introduced to a roaring audience! Say hello to our new Fantastic Four:

• Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic)
• Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman)
• Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch)
• Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing)

But that’s not all! Paul Walter Hauser and Natasha Lyonne are on board in mystery roles, while Julia Garner is set to play Shalla-Bal, a version of Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson will take on the massive role of Galactus.

Kevin Feige, Marvel chief, described the film as a “period film” and shared his excitement on The Official Marvel Podcast: “I’m extremely excited because those characters are legendary pillars of the Marvel Universe…”

The teaser reel showed our heroes in astronaut suits, a breathtaking liftoff scene, and a jaw-dropping image of Galactus hovering over Earth. Plus, it was revealed that our Fantastic Four will feature in the next two Avengers movies! 🌌

Phase Five wraps up with Captain America: Brave New World (Feb 14, 2025) and Thunderbolts (May 5, 2025). Phase Six kicks off with The Fantastic Four and includes Blade (Nov 7, 2025), Avengers: Doomsday (May 1, 2026), and Avengers: Secret Wars (May 7, 2027).

In attendance were Executive Producer Eric Kripke and series stars Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Claudia Doumit, Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry, and Nathan Mitchell. 😍

I got to interview Phil Lamarr today at Comic-Con, who’s working on a new animated series based on the book series “Cradle.” You may remember Phil being accosted by Samuel L. Jackson’s Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction or MadTV, but Phil has an impressive resume being one of greatest voice actors of our time.

Phil has lent his voice to many iconic character including John Stewart/Green Lantern in Justice League, Samurai Jack, Virgil Hawkins/Static Shock, and many more. It was great to meet him.
