Light Year Volume One has been out for just over 2 years and it’s been a great success. Deemed a classical crossover album. This release is also available on the Apple Classical Music app.
The artwork, by the incredible artist Greg Skaggs , will soon be available on our website (coming soon) and .ac along with corresponding tracks relating to the trailer and classical crossover genres.

AD/DA Conversion is such a huge part of digital recording these days. Proud to say that we have added the flavor of the Pure 2 for mixing/mastering and soon to add a B2 Bomber for more flexibility in tracking,mixing, and mastering.
There is so much that goes into the sound and tone of songs we produce and can’t say enough about these two great pieces of gear to help achieve the analog tone we hear in our head to finalize recordings. It takes recordings to the next level and then some.
It is a pleasure to be in the study of tone and achieving the sounds you hear in your dreams. Thanks to these two fine companies for building unbelievable pieces of gear that help us attain that.

On this date 10 years ago: I had the honor and opportunity to record drums in legendary studio 2 of . Where heroes and legends, Van Halen and Led Zeppelin recorded many times. That day we put drums down to 3 tracks. Spiderweb by Haley Reinhart, Till I Fall Asleep by by Jayme Dee, and a songwriting demo by Lee DeWyze. An unforgettable day with Producers David Hodges and Steven Solomon. Engineer Chad Copelin, and Drum tech Ross Garfield of Drum Doctors who provided this beautiful late 60s Ludwig drumkit with snares used by Metallica and Dave Grohl! Eternally grateful for these opportunities 🙏🙏

The Townsend Labs Sphere L22 Mic has been stress tested and put through its paces here in the studio. I can honestly say it stands up to the hype. The emulations of some of the most world renowned microphones like the Neumann U67, U87, AKG C12, Telefunken 251, and Sony C800 are simply incredible. What’s most fascinating is the post recording process with this microphone. You can switch mics after a the recording, adjust axis and proximity, and even the microphone pattern. It is really great if you aren’t the committal type and want to have this kind of flexibility post recording.
With more and more studios moving to small spaces and little room for a mic locker that would boast this heavyweight mic collection. This mic is well worth the purchase. Personally looking at buying a few more in the future.

We have owned a coveted SSL Fusion for almost a year now. It is absolutely one of the most amazing pieces of outboard gear to own. Using it to mix down for stems, for final mixes, and/or mastering have been welcome options to have and the quality is unequivocally SSL. So for you gear heads, I recommend reading this great article from Everything Recording on their year with the SSL Fusion. They nail exactly what our experience has been with this extraordinary piece of gear. Link in bio!

Tyler Hilton’s “Forget The Storm” record was a labor of love from beginning to end with being involved with pre-production to post production. Providing drums/percussion on every track with producers David Hodges and Steven Solomon in the lead. Pre-production began in July of 2011 at AMP Rehearsal in North Hollywood, CA and initial tracking began at Emblem Music Studios in Calabasas, CA in August 2011. The rest of the record would be finished at Swinghouse Sound in Hollywood, CA, Glasco studios in Eagle Rock, CA, and Sleepwalker Sound in Studio City, CA. Jon would later become Tyler’s touring drummer for many tours after the record was released.
