Binghamton TV started in the late 70's as Harper Television workshop, an active way for students to learn real skills that would prepare the young and willing for jobs within Television and Movie Production companies. As time went on, the desire to create and produce Television drove the students to create through a new forum; The Binghamton Television Network. The next years would be crucial for
the students of Binghamton University, as the network continued to grow and develop. Dozens of student films, documentaries, and TV Shows would continue to pave the way for new students to get involved actively on projects and recognize their own capabilities. The humble beginnings of the television station were far from the tallest hurdle. In 2006, the Binghamton Television Network would suffer extreme setbacks. The studio that served as a headquarters for B-TV would be engulfed in an unforgiving fire. The students of Binghamton University were stripped overnight of their only TV network, while the Network would face the challenge of rebuilding themselves out of the ashes. We understand at B-TV that we will not be judged based on our best day. We recognize that we can only claim inspiration from our founding students, but that our glory days can never define us. We accept that the true weight of judgement falls on how high we climb when we are torn down from the ladder. This is where we celebrate the re-emerging of The "New Binghamton Television" station which was officially resurrected in 2012. The hearts and perseverance of many strong young men and women have made short work of absolving the impossible. In 2013, We invite you to be a part of our growing legacy. With a New fully elected Government, a variety of exciting shows to be launched, and a sharper advertising and writing department available to to our loyal sponsors; There has never been a more exciting time to be a part of our family. Never let the possibility slip away, Come see for yourself what Binghamton Television can do for you! Whether you are a student with passion, a small business who would like to be introduced to our highly spirited campus, or just one of our fans who has stuck by us through the years. We count on your hearts, We count on your brilliance, and We count on your personality. You can always know that we will walk through fire to ensure that our dream lives on, and we hope to always know that within this grand campus of opportunity, You will continue to Be You. With Sincere Gratitude,
The Binghamton Television Network.
