Mike in the Morning - KPOD Country
We asked Dudley the English Bulldog and volunteer mascot for CASA of Del Norte, to help us pick a fury friend to highlight today. Dudley cares about children, and of course his furry friends that are lost, or in need of adoption.
Hercules got a beach day! He and Volunteer Rose took advantage of the break in the weather today. After a jog Hercules had some sand/wave fun. (Watch the videos in the comments).
Let’s get Hercules a home! This big handsome boy is back at the Dog Pound & hoping to find his perfect match! This one-year-old mixed breed (68 lbs) has been known to melt hearts and is 🔥.
Hercules is a big, goofy, playful guy. He's great with other dogs. His play style can get a bit rough and vocal. This boy is ALWAYS happy and loves to cuddle with his humans. He likes a good game of fetch, enjoys running and wrestling with his pup friends, and settles down nicely after play. He passed his cat test, however he will need slow introduction and supervision with a cat in the home home.
He graduated from PPP training class and has done a fantastic job learning and showing off his skills. He knows sit, stay, down, leave it, come, shake, let's go, wait, and more!

• Del Norte High’s girls’ basketball team is now 12-5 after beating Mount Shasta but losing to Chico in a tournament this past weekend. The Warriors open Big Five Conference play Tuesday at home against Arcata starting at 7:30 p.m. Listen to the game live on KPOD 97.9 FM. On the boys’ side, the Warriors bested Lassen High but lost to West Valley.
