Who is Barking Out Loud Marketing?
My name is Diane Castro and I am CEO of Bark Out Loud Marketing. My background includes lots of marketing and sales experience -- in fact, over 25 years of experience. Wow! I can’t believe it, but I have to say I have enjoyed every minute of it. So, why have I started this business? I am great at sales and marketing, including social media marketing (check out the page I developed for Fred, a blind dog that I had for 12 years, there are 1,992 likes! All through my creative posts and marketing savvy!) I describe myself as a “Techie in sheeps clothing”...one would never know by looking at me that I love technology and I was one of the first of 25 people on Craig’s List back in 1998. Yep. Those were the crazy days of dot.coms and the new technology -- websites! I had a business back then writing and developing websites. Yes, I would FTP (File Transfer Protocol) them onto the internet for clients. The workers at the internet service provider taught me over the phone how to do that. It was easy! I also taught myself WordPress and how to write blogs and do websites, and many other “technical” programs. When social media appeared in 2007 -- Facebook was just starting out -- I quickly adapted to it and once again learned by doing. It was easy to me because after all, I was sort of a “techie” still, even though the sheep’s clothing was a bit tighter now.
Life Can “Go to the Dogs, Which is a Good thing!
After adopting my special Freddie in 2005 (my first rescue dog) I enjoyed my time hiking and walking with him. I love dogs! Then, charming Chauncie was adopted one Christmas eve day in 2016. And, then after Fred was gone we still had Chauncie...the current love of our lives.
