Advocacy has always been at the core of Dolores Huerta's work. 💪
Inspired by her mother’s community activism and her early years as a teacher, Dolores Huerta kicked off a lifelong journey as a community organizer. In 1962, alongside César Chavez, she co-founded the United Farm Workers union, sparking a movement that empowered California farm workers and secured vital rights.
But Huerta didn’t stop there! She broke barriers, challenged gender discrimination, and inspired Latinas to run for office. Now, at 94, she’s still leading the charge as president and founder of the Dolores Huerta Foundation, fighting for women's rights and encouraging young Latinos to vote. 🗳️
Dolores Huerta’s legacy proves that Latinos are the future and there's no stopping the fight for justice. ✊
