Study the voice leading of the improvisation lines to learn why they sound logical and good musically. Observe which notes of the chords and scales fall on the beats and which are off the beats. Not only will you learn how to construct your own solos from an informed perspective you will create music that’s personal and uniquely creative as Jazz is inherently intended.
