BOOKING REPORT: SHREVEPORT MAN ARRESTED FOR CAR THEFT, OVER 21 VEHICLES STOLEN

On June 18, Sheriff's Detective Adam Jones and the US Marshals Task Force arrested Demarcus Clements, 34, at Bally's Casino in downtown Shreveport. Clements is facing multiple charges, including illegal possession of stolen property, unauthorized entry of a place of business, and motor vehicle theft.

Sheriff’s detectives believe Clements stole more than 21 vehicles in Caddo Parish. After stealing the vehicles, he altered their appearance by covering their original paint with a vinyl wrap.

A search warrant obtained during the investigation led to the discovery of key evidence confirming Clements as the ringleader in the theft of 18 additional cars from the Greater Shreveport Auto Auction on Greenwood Road.

When Clements was located, he attempted to flee on foot but was successfully apprehended by Detective Jones and Task Force agents. Clemen
ts was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on multiple arrest warrants.
