The archive consists of Lifestyle, Contemporary News, Music Performance, Music Video, Classic Television Programs and Series, Hollywood Feature Films, Newsreels, Industrial Films, Silent Films, Educational Films, Sales Films, Television Commercials, Celebrity Interviews, Contemporary “Red Carpet” events, Home Movies, and International Stock Shots. HISTORIC FILMS controls one of the world’s largest

collections of music on film and video (1925 -2005), with rare one-of-a-kind footage of the world’s most important Rock, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Disco, Country, Vaudeville, Gospel, Punk, and New Wave artists. Many other genres and obscure rarities are well represented in this massive collection. Highlights include The Ed Sullivan Show, Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert, Rockpalast and the extensive music libraries of Studio Hamburg, Germany’s largest television broadcaster as well as over 35 other extensive collections of music and performance footage.

HISTORIC FILMS ACQUIRES 1963-69 NEWPORT FOLK FESTIVAL ARCHIVE Bob Dylan's long time manager Jeff Rosen has called this library " the greatest single archive of American Roots Music on the planet"! 100 hours of previously unseen footage of folk, blues and country artists such as MISSISSIPPI JOHN HURT, HOWLING WOLF, MAYBELLE CARTER, JOHNNY CASH, JOAN BAEZ and 100s of others. The library was purchased by Historic Films from the late Academy Award Filmmaker MURRAY LERNER who stored it in his vault for fifty years.

"MACK THE KNIFE" SINGER BOBBY DARIN'S 1973 VARIETY SHOW NOW WITH HISTORIC FILMS ARCHIVE - Bobby Darin, the 1950s-60s American hitmaker died tragically at age 37 in 1973. A few months before his untimely death he hosted a 13 episode television variety series THE BOBBY DARIN SHOW - Besides breathtaking performances by Darin others guests such as Nancy Sinatra, Dusty Springfield Taj Mahal, Peggy Lee, Freda Payne Petula Clark, and many others perform live to a studio audience.
