MEMPHIS, TN — 35-year-old Trinika Woodard was involved in an altercation with law enforcement on May 22nd. Officers J. Wetzel and E. Brown observed Woodard walking down Riverdale Road without shoes or pants. When they went to check on Woodard's well-being, she pulled away from them. Officers then attempted to detain Woodard, but she grabbed Officer Brown and scratched the right side of her face. Officer Wetzel grabbed Woodard to get her off Brown, but Woodard struck him in the head. Trinika Woodard was then taken into custody and charged with two counts of assault to a first responder and resisting arrest.

MEMPHIS, TN — 22-year-old Khaylin Johnson was involved in an altercation with Heaven Newell at the Fountain Liquor store on December 31st, 2022. Newell contacted law enforcement, stating that Johnson came into the store while she was at the mentioned location and tried to fight her. Newell went on to tell law enforcement that Johnson spat at her twice and started punching her, so they fought. Officers observed several bumps and bruises on Newell's forehead. Newell positively identified Johnson in a six-person lineup as her assaulter. Kaylin Johnson was then taken into custody and charged with assault on May 22nd, 2024.

MEMPHIS, TN — 23-year-old Kaylen Williams was involved in a domestic incident at The Nine at Memphis on May 22nd. Williams contacted law enforcement and stated that her boyfriend, Brandon Hudson, assaulted her because she was on the phone with her sister, Kederreca Hodges. According to Williams, Hudson pushed her, picked her up, and slammed her on the bed. She stated that she tried to defend herself by biting and kicking Hudson. After kicking him, Hudson got on top of her, bit her leg, and then left. Williams informed officers that Hodges was on Facetime with her during the incident.

Officers then spoke with Hudson, who stated that Williams blocked the door so he couldn't leave. Hudson told officers that to leave, he picked Williams up and pushed her to the ground. After being pushed to the ground, Williams got up and bit him, drawing blood from his chest. Both Williams and Hudson were taken into custody. Kaylen Williams was transported to booking and charged with domestic assault.

MEMPHIS, TN — 21-year-old Markayla Herron was taken into custody for theft and not having a valid driver’s license on May 22nd, 2024. Officers observed a 2022 Kia Soul near Watkins Street and Signal Street that was reported stolen on January 29th, 2023, out of Nashville, Tennessee. Officers conducted a traffic stop, where they spoke with Herron, who stated the Kia was a gift from her boyfriend, Charles Townsend. After officers detained Herron, she provided officers with paperwork showing the car was purchased from a Memphis Auction. Deputies investigated and later discovered that the documents she provided were not authentic. Herron later pleaded ignorance and said she did not know how Townsend obtained the vehicle. Herron was taken into custody and charged with theft of property and driving without a license.

MEMPHIS, TN — 40-year-old Erica Fulton was involved in an altercation with her niece, Gloria Carr, at her mother's house on Manassas Street on May 22nd. Carr told officers that while Erica was visiting her mother, Carr's grandmother, Veronica Fulton, Erica's sister, started removing Erica's items from her mother's room and putting them into her car. Carr stated that this caused Erica to become upset. Carr then began arguing with Erica, which resulted in Erica hitting her with the bedroom door, starting a fight. During the fight, both Erica and Gloria struck each other. Mireyah Fulton, Erica's other niece, advised that she tried to break up the fight, but Erica struck her as well. Officers observed all parties had various injuries. Officers spoke with Erica, who reeked of alcohol as she stated that both of her nieces jumped her. Officers determined Erica Fulton was the primary aggressor. Erica Fulton was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

MEMPHIS, TN — 41-year-old Crystal Diane Lacomb was found with Edward Cooper inside a stolen Dodge Dakota at a Quinn Circle residence in the afternoon hours of November 15th, 2022. Officers observed this and conducted a “follow-up,” during which they located Lacomb in the driver's seat and Cooper in the passenger seat, then detained them. Officers spoke with Lacomb, who stated that the vehicle was her sister-in-law’s, Jessica Fincher, advising that she had text messages to prove it. Deputies called Fincher, who said she allowed her to drive it near the house, and when she found out that she had taken her vehicle to Tennessee, she tried to call her several times to return it, but she never answered. Then, Fincher warned Lacomb that she would report it as stolen if she did not bring it back.

Afterward, officers discovered Lacomb had an active FTA warrant out of Shelby County from December 15th, 2021. Officers searched Lacomb's person and found a clear bag of an unknown substance, later identified as 2.5 grams of m**hamphetamine, as well as a black knife/ brass knuckles. Then, officers searched the car and found two clear pipes near the carport and a loaded syringe inside a red toolbox in the truck bed, which Cooper later admitted were his. Cooper spoke with the police and corroborated Lacomb’s statement, adding that she believed she had a miscarriage and was not speaking with Fincher or her brother because of it. A warrant was issued for her arrest on November 16th, 2022. Lacomb was later taken into custody for felony possession of m**hamphetamine, possession of a prohibited weapon, and theft on May 22nd, 2024.

MEMPHIS, TN — 41-year-old Quintessa Wise was taken into custody for theft on May 22nd, 2024. On March 7th, 2023, deputies were called to Gordon’s Food Service, where they spoke with Mary Reaster, Loss Prevention Regional Manager at the establishment. Reaster filed a report stating that between December 11th, 2022, and February 19th, 2023, an employee, Wise, while working at the business, grabbed several items and walked past the checkout without paying. Reaster added that Wise was aided by other employees working the register and returned the favor whenever she was the cashier. Gordon’s Food Service lost $610.06 because of the incidents. On May 1st, 2023, the store manager, Matt Makowski, identified Wise in a six-person lineup. A warrant was issued for her arrest on May 14th, 2023. Wise was later detained for the occurrence on May 22nd, 2024.

When officers made contact with Holliman, she was in the passenger seat with the keys in the ignition and the engine running. Officers transported Holliman to the Memphis Police Department, where she agreed to speak with investigators. Holliman was then transported to booking, where she was charged with theft of property on May 22nd, 2024.

MEMPHIS, TN — 34-year-old Amber Bennett was involved in an altercation with Jacqueline Wilkes at Bennett Avenue on May 22nd. Wilkes contacted law enforcement, stating that Bennett assaulted her and damaged her property. When officers arrived, Wilkes told them that Bennett had knocked on her door and asked her husband, Dominque (Wilkes's son), to come outside. According to Wilkes, when Dominque didn't come outside, Bennett ripped the Ring doorbell off the door and then used a golf club she brought to damage the windshield and hood of Wilkes's Toyota Scion. Once Wilkes went outside to confront Bennett, Bennett ripped the gown off of Wilkes, hit her in the back of the head, and then ripped a plug out of Bennett's hair. Dominque ran outside and separated both of them. Wilkes and Dominque left in their respective cars. When Bennett noticed Dominque had left, Wilkes said Bennett returned and threw a large rock through her food truck, damaging a hotbox food prep unit on the front porch. Amber Bennett was taken into custody and charged with assault and vandalism.

MEMPHIS, TN — 42-year-old Amy Edge and Jesse Cogbill were found sleeping in a stolen gold 2014 Chevy Malibu behind the Elvis Presley Boulevard Marathon gas station around 8:16 a.m. on April 22nd. Upon arrival, officers noticed this and contacted the owner, Charlie Caswell, who stated that his Malibu had been stolen from his driving school on Clifton Avenue. When officers met with Caswell, they viewed a video that showed them stealing his car, wearing the same clothing they were found in. Caswell advised them that the Malibu was worth $8,268.00 and that she did not allow them to use it. Edge admitted to stealing the Malibu and was jailed for theft. Then, after being released, she was taken back into custody on May 22nd.

MEMPHIS, TN — 20-year-old Jashanti Manning was involved in a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Dorian Bonds, at his South Frence Creek Cove residence on May 21st. When deputies arrived at the mentioned location, they spoke with Manning. Manning stated that she went to Bonds' house to hang out. While speaking to Bonds, Manning said that she brought up an incident that happened in the past, which made Bonds angry, causing him to hit her in the face multiple times. According to Manning, Bonds did this while she was holding their two-month-old child. After this, Manning went to the kitchen and grabbed two knives to protect herself. Manning, however, told deputies that she didn't point anything at anybody. Manning went on to say that Bonds and Walter Howard both had guns in their hands. Manning stated Howard pointed the gun at her, telling her, "Don't come near me." After seeing this, Manning put the knives down and started looking for her phone and keys so she could leave.

Deputies later spoke with Bonds, who stated that Manning was drunk and wanted to argue about an old incident between them. Bonds told Manning that he was going to leave and that she needed to be gone when he came back because he didn't want to argue with her. Bonds returned, and Manning was still there. He told deputies that when he came back, he was looking for money but couldn't find it. When he asked Manning if she had seen it, she said that she had seen it in the car outside. According to Bonds, as he was walking out of the house, Manning picked up a shotgun and threatened to hit him with it. As Bonds turned around towards her, Manning hit him in the head with the bottom of the gun, causing a knot on his head.

Deputies then spoke with Howard, who stated that Manning hit him with a backpack and threw a water bottle at him. Howard admitted to pointing the gun at Manning and said that he only did so because she had two knives in her hand. Howard went on to tell law enforcement that Manning told him that she was going to have her brother come to Bonds' house and shoot him. Through further investigation, deputies could not determine the primary aggressor, so both parties were taken into custody. Jashanti Manning was transported to booking and charged with domestic assault and aggravated assault on May 22nd.

MEMPHIS, TN — 44-year-old Elita Bean was caught after she shot her husband, Terrance Bean, at their Ardmore residence On May 21st. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with their juvenile children outside, who stated that their mother, Eliita, had shot their father, Terrence. Officers then entered the residence, where they found Elita in the kitchen and found Terrence lying face down on the kitchen floor, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers spoke with Elita, who told officers that she was fighting with Terrence over the gun, and it went off. Terence was pronounced dead on the scene, and Elita was taken to the Regional Medical Center near Jefferson Avenue. Investigators made a scene and spoke with one of their children, who stated that Elita And Terrence were arguing over keys, and it escalated when Elita retrieved a knife and attempted to stab Terrence. Elita and Terrence then went to their bedroom, where they continued arguing before they went to the kitchen. According to the child, their argument had escalated more, and Elita was on the ground, and Terrence did not have pants on. The juvenile informed officers that this was when Elita asked the child to retrieve her gun, but Terence got the weapon for Elita, telling her to shoot him. Proceeding this, Elita shot Terrence three times. Investigators examined Terrence's body, showing three gunshots as well as two stab wounds across his chest. Officers found the knife in the trash can as well as well as a handgun in their bedroom. Elita was charged with second-degree murder.

After stopping Applewhite, officers observed that her eyes were watery and that she was slurring her words. Applewhite told officers she was drinking at the Echelon Night Bar and Grill, which led to officers requesting that she perform field sobriety tests. Applewhite consented to the sobriety tests but performed poorly and was taken into custody. While in custody, officers searched Applewhite's car and found an open bottle of Lunazul Tequila bottle under the driver's seat. Chekira Applewhite was taken into custody and charged with underage drinking and driving, reckless driving, and possessing an open container of alcohol while in a motor vehicle.

Williams was sitting at the bar demanding money back after she had consumed an alcoholic beverage. When officers arrived on the scene, they witnessed Williams shouting obscenities and threatening staff as well. She was asked to leave several times, but she refused. Officers escorted Williams out of the restaurant, and while they were walking out, she began swinging, striking, and kicking at them. While Officers attempted to place Williams in the backseat of the police car, she began shouting, "f**k you, I'm going to kill you," before kicking and striking officers more. Williams was charged with assault on a first responder and resisting arrest.

On April 9th, law enforcement received a report from Crum that she and Lacy got into a fight. Crum stated that Lacy told a male stranger her whereabouts and who she was with, so she got upset with her. The bad blood between the sisters resurfaced when Lacy got upset and emptied two trash cans onto the ground. When Crum saw this, she told Lacy to leave. According to Crum, as Lacy was leaving, she attempted to hit her with her car. Lacy proceeded to point a gun at her sister and stated, "I will shoot you in your face." MEMPHIS, TN — 21-year-old Aaliyah Dolarce Gabr Coleman was taken into custody for being a fugitive from justice without a warrant on May 23rd. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office received a hit from the National Crime Information Center, showing that Coleman had an outstanding warrant for terroristic threats and domestic assault in Arkansas. It was confirmed with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. She was then detained for the incident.

MEMPHIS, TN — 36-year-old Ella Isom was involved in a domestic altercation with her ex-boyfriend, Michael Warren, at Kirby Discount Grocery near Kirby Parkway on May 8th. Officers spoke with Warren, who stated that he had walked to the store when he felt someone grab his shirt from behind, causing the buttons to fall off. He claimed that when he turned around, he saw Isom, and they began arguing. During this argument, Isom pulled a black weapon from her hoodie and told Warren that she would kill him. Warren advised that he grabbed the gun, threw it to the store clerk, and ran because he was in fear for his safety. On May 10th, Warren met with investigators and positively identified Isom as the person responsible for the assault. A warrant was issued, and she was taken into custody for Aggravated assault on May 23rd.

MEMPHIS, TN — 27-year-old Alexus Taylor was drunk driving under near Tillman Street and Sam Cooper Boulevard on May 24th. Officers observed a Nissan Maxima around the area with tags that did not come back to the vehicle. Officers then attempted to make a traffic stop with lights and sirens activated, but the Driver refused to stop. The vehicle then sped off, turning right on Sam Cooper Boulevard across three lanes of traffic. Taylor's 4-month-old child was in the vehicle as she was evading police. Taylor got away, and officers spotted the vehicle parked at Osaka Japanese Cuisine near Poplar Avenue. The officers entered the restaurant and inside and took Taylor into custody. Taylor was shown to have four active warrants for failure to appear, improper use of auto paperwork, speeding, and driving while license was suspended.

MEMPHIS, TN — 35-year-old Shawna Harris was caught shoplifting at the CVS on Union Avenue on May 22nd. An employee Cortez Wells, contacted law enforcement, stating that he believed a shoplifter was inside the store. Wells informed officers that Harris entered the store with what looked like an empty black handbag. While Harris was inside the store, her bag grew increasingly larger throughout her stay. When officers arrived, they confronted Harris at the register and asked her about her purse and asked, "Will you please show me the contents of your purse?" When Harris handed Officer Dorado her purse, he found various beauty cosmetics in brand-new condition with CVS seals. The items found in Harris's purse were valued at $139.89. Shawna Harris was taken into custody and charged with theft of property.

MEMPHIS, TN — On November 22nd, 2023, 30-year-old Sarah Benson was seen obstructing traffic in a 2004 Chevy Cavalier at the Leath Street and Saffrans Avenue intersection. Officers observed this and ran the tag on the vehicle, which returned stolen. Officers conducted a traffic stop and detained the passenger, Janice Freeman and Benson, who was the driver. Benson was found to have a suspended license, no insurance, and misdemeanor warrants for her arrest. MEMPHIS, TN — 23-year-old Jameccia Adams and her boyfriend, Keith Glover, matched the description of two individuals involved in a fight at the Sycamore View Road Fairview Inn Motel in the early hours of May 28th. Officers located the couple and spoke with Glover, who had visible injuries, and advised them that he and Admas argued over him talking to other women. According to Glover, Adams became violent and started punching him in the face, leaving a cut on his face and lip. When Adams talked with officers, she admitted that she became angry and attacked him. Adams was then taken into custody for domestic assault.

MEMPHIS, TN — 35-year-old Genoe Miller was caught stealing her sister's identity on July 19th, 2023. On that day, officers spoke with Latabatha Miller regarding an impersonation, and she claimed that she had recently sold her vehicle to her sister, Genoe. Latabatha told officers that she had received a letter of a missed court date on May 16th, 2023, so investigators reviewed body footage of the traffic stop, and the driver, Genoe, stated that her name was Latabatha. Genoe proceeded to give the officer Latabatha's date of birth and register the ticket in Latabatha's name. On July 22nd, 2023, Latabatha gave a video statement and identified Genoe as the person responsible for the identity theft. A warrant was issued, and Genoe was taken into custody for identity theft and forgery on May 23rd, 2024.

MEMPHIS, TN — 42-year-old Michelle Ware was caught shoplifting at the Walgreens on Union Avenue on May 13th. An employee at Walgreens, Roy Washington, told officers that he observed Ware take $154 worth of body wash and then leave without paying. Michelle Ware was taken into custody and charged with theft of property.

MEMPHIS, TN — 31-year-old Antwonesha Thomas was arrested after her three-year-old son shot himself with a handgun at a Bertram CV residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they immediately provided first aid to the child until paramedics arrived. Officers took possession of the firearm, and the child was rushed to LeBonheur Hospital as he was in critical condition. Thomas told the officers that her husband, Jermaine Wilkes, had left his 9mm Ta**us G2C in their car the night before. Thomas then stated that as she was driving home, she noticed it and placed it in her purse to secure it later. When she got home, she put the purse on a chair in the living room and walked to the kitchen. Thomas claimed that when she was in the kitchen, she heard a gunshot in the living room, where she found her child lying there with the gun next to him. The bullet entered the child's lower abdomen, exited his body, and reentered through his lower leg. Thomas was taken in for further investigation and arrested for Reckless endangerment.

MEMPHIS, TN — 37-year-old April Hunt and Katherine Luke were caught trespassing at a Driftwood Avenue residence on May 23rd. Officers on patrol observed Luke and Hunt inside the mentioned location. Law enforcement declared the home a public nuisance and said no one was supposed to be on the property. It was noted that Hunt was given a verbal warning the day prior for being on the property. April Hunt was then taken into custody and charged with criminal trespassing.

MEMPHIS, TN — 24-year-old Jocelyn Willis was seen soliciting officers near Lamar Avenue and Democrat Road on August 8th, 2023. Officers performed an undercover operation, where they were flagged down and approached by Willis. Following a brief conversation, Willis offered to have s*x with the officer in exchange for $100.00. The signal was given, and officers took Willis into custody. The incident occurred within 1.5 miles of American Way Middle School. Willis was charged with Prostitution near a school on May 22nd, 2024.

MEMPHIS, TN — 25-year-old Shampane Goodman was caught trespassing at Tops Bar-B-Q on Frayser Boulevard on May 27th. Officers arrived and made contact with the store's manager, Ciara Williams, who explained that Goodman was on arrest authorization from the business. Williams stated that when Goodman entered the store, she kicked on furniture and threw a fan. Willams also mentioned that Goodman occasionally shows up at the store causing a disturbance. Keira Rivers, Goodman's caregiver, told officers that Goodman was diagnosed with anxiety and was currently on medication. Shampane Goodman was then taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass.
