the label is known for its approach in breaking new talent and spreading unity and peace in
the reggae music fraternity. Adrian Hanson (also known as Donsome or Ras Handsome) is the mastermind behind the
fledging label. He outlined the objectives, namel

artistes thus taking them to the next level”. A fully independent distribution and production entity, the entrepreneurship of Donsome
Records is a self-contained musical machine. Several musical projects have emanated from
the label including tracks from established as well as up and coming entertainers. Some of the projects include the Hard Rock rhythms, Life Journey rhythms, Kill Dem rhythms
and the Crime Stop rhythm, The Crime Stop rhythm feature songs like Lost our way by I-
Octane, Famine and drought by I-Wayne and Mama Bawl by Gyptian, There is also a music
video for Gyptian Mama Bawl which was World premier on TVJ ER, It also went # 1 on CVM Hit
List and other charts around the world. In conjunction with its own in-house production entities, namely D.M.G, Donsome Publishing
Group, Donsome Management Team and D.M.G Europe, Donsome Records pays attention
and detail to ensure that the sound, feel and texture of its productions are of international
standards. Ras Handsome, (who is also an artiste and who also doubles as chief producer) lent his vocals
alongside music veteran Dr. Marshall in August 2006 with the release of Life Is a Journey on
the “Life Journey” riddim. Three other Donsome Records releases; Speedy by Jah Mason,
JADO’s Poverty and Erasto’s Future of Tomorrow were also featured in the “Life Journey
Medley” video. JADO and Erasto are just a few of the up and coming acts who have worked with Donsome
Records over the years. To date the Hard Rock project which features song like Tek Away by Erasto, was built by the
legendary riddim twins Sly Dunbar (of Sly and Robbie fame) and saxophonist extraordinaire, Dean Frazer at Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston. Donsome Records’ most recent project is the Mr. It features Ma by
