"And we are supposed to regard them as objective?"

Reporting factual events filed in the courts that clearly expose the failures of a public official is not a hit piece. It's called reporting which actually includes the public record that was quoted from and links to case law cited in the motion.

As far as questioning our objectivity, that's pretty rich coming from an anonymous page that spreads more misinformation than national political campaigns.

When people can't refute facts, they resort to trying to discredit the messenger. It won't work!

On Monday Glynn Simmons reached a partial settlement of $7.15 million with the Edmond City Council for his wrongful conviction in Oklahoma. His claims against the City of Oklahoma City and retired Oklahoma City Detective Claude Shobert remain pending.

Simmons was 700 miles away from the site of the crime he was accused of in 1974. No physical evidence ever connected him to the crime. Police falsified line-ups and reports and manipulated a witness. Simmons was sentenced to death and was wrongfully incarcerated for nearly half a century.

Now 71 years old, Simmons has maintained his innocence for 48 years. He was exonerated and released from prison in 2023.
