Always will Love this Story on Traditions and Familia. Oh Still cherish the Gift Set and will probably never open it.

Lets get this morning started.
Growing up in Campito our Nana,Tias, Tios and a bunch of cousins were always within a couple of houses. My Nana owned the famous Raspada Stand with Menudo on weekends and always a card game daily or a group on weekends made gas money playing cards Dumpe or Poker we were a gambling family at a young age at Nanas house. My family says I'm a hoarder especially when they see this 2002 calendar cup gift set unopened from Walmart $4.97 which I have saved since Christmas 2001. Growing up it was all about family family family every Sunday and I mean every Sunday our whole family 8 of us would go to my mom's sisters house on 24 street just south of the river bottom to visit her mom and have dinner it was family time.
My Tia Ma**ca was always helping my mom with everything helping raise us and feed us she was like our second mom and my favorite she was a sweetheart to us spoiled us like crazy. Traditions in the Latino families or any family are very rare now everyone is so busy to do things and that's sad or the family has passed away and no longer with us but the beautiful memories are forever with us. My Tia gave me this gift Christmas 2001and she passed away in 2002 and I still cherish this gift and will keep it unopened till I die it's a memory of my beautiful Tia which is all I have now. Loving life but missing the family.
Here she is on my parents wedding day always by the side of my mom, she was my mom's best friend sisterly Love.
Familia is all we have sometimes good sometimes bad but still Familia. My sister Ita always says Marty you can pick your nose but you cannot pick your family, so true.
Oh my Tia also had a sense of humor she did not know any English but love to sew by hand my sister Teresa Sanchez requested that I post my Custom made by my Tia Ma**ca my own bed spread and pillow cases all done by hand wow, oh I was a little girl crazy back then Lol. Loved her dearly and miss her

In Honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month which starts TODAY I highly recommend viewing these two movies. The two films are A Million Miles Away and Flaming Hot. They are both on our Raza pursuing their Dreams or Ideas after being told NO So many Times.
