Good afternoon, everyone.
I trust this post finds you all in the best of spirits.
I’ve been debating on how best to get this unfortunate news out to all of you. Meant to do so yesterday, but a few unforeseen circumstances prevented me from doing so.
I’ve been battling with a few things in real life on the down-low. Due to their delicate nature, I can’t quite go into it, but they’ve forced a decision I was loathe to make.
Most of you know I lost my baby sister back in September of 2023. It’s been difficult on my family, and things haven’t been the same since.
Thus, in order to try and make things better and allowing my family to heal/get better in the process, I’ve decided to step away from publishing other people’s works, for the time being. This decision hasn’t come lightly. I sincerely wish I could continue doing so, but I have to do what’s best for my family.
I would like to thank for the following authors, Joanna Nunez, Author, Author Sharon C. Williams, Oldmanwrite, Donald Kemp, Steven Duplij, Author Susannah Hutchinson—as well as the numerous authors my company has represented throughout the years—for having allowed us to represent and publish your books on your behalf. It’s been quite the ride these past 10 years. I’m honestly mind-blown by the fact that it’s been that long.
From the deepest reaches of my heart, thank you to all of you for having allowed me to be a part of your literary journeys. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it/working with all of you.
I hope that all of you will be able to find new homes for your wonderful books when the time comes. Whatever you all need, please don’t hesitate to ask. I am always here for all of you for whatever you might need and am always at the ready.
I wish you all the best of success with all of your endeavors. I look forward to working with you all again in the future. This isn’t a goodbye, but rather a see you again soon. I’ve plans for later on down the road and will be sure to let everyone know of them.
The main branch of LDB Press will remain open, as that pertains to Lissette E. Manning’s books. All other company imprints will no longer be accepting submissions. I’ll be working with everyone to make sure all of your works and rights are promptly returned within the next few days/weeks.
