Intertext Intertext is a publication showcasing the best undergraduate writing from the Syracuse University Writing Program.

Intertext exemplifies the power of writing and collaboration to inform and inspire. Its goal is to display the variety of classes and writers that the Syracuse University Writing Program offers. The Louise Wetherbee Phelps Award is an annual event put on by Intertext. It recognizes excellence in writing in the Writing Program’s courses by choosing the best Intertext submission. Submissions are eva

luated on depth, complexity, technical control, emotional and intellectual appeal, and how well they reflect the goals of the Writing Program.

Submit Artwork and Photography to INTERTEXT -- Submissions due 3-1-23

We are currently accepting submissions of artwork and photography for possible inclusion in the 2023 issue of Intertext, a journal of some of the best writing produced by students in courses taken with the department of Writing Studies, Rhetoric, and Composition.

The artwork will be used in conjunction with selected manuscripts. All topics and types of content are welcome.
