Our fundraising partner, RaiseRight, is having their "Raise Days" Event again, May 2nd and 3rd (that's Thursday and Friday this week!). During Raise Days, there are over 100 brands on bonus - meaning that we earn an even bigger percentage when you buy instant eGift cards from those brands - in some cases, up to 22% of your card value!

Do you all remember when we ran this story about the city of Warren, their regulations, and how it's impossible to get a permit for a Pagan event there?

Warren has a new mayor and a new administration (finally)...but so far we're hearing that getting a permit is not going well. We'll have a story about this soon, but you might want to start thinking about what sort of activism you're willing to do to protect our rights.

On your mark....

We're setting a date! Start of broadcasting - likely a soft launch - on Pagan Public Radio will be Beltane (May 1, 2024).

We've reviewed a bunch of possible providers & software options. We've tested some things. We've priced out alternatives. We've explored apps and various other technologies. And I think we're about ready to go. Website in comments.

We could use some more shows (live or pre-recorded), and some more advertisers. We'd love to chat with you - email [email protected] to discuss.

Ok y'all. We need some help on 2 things right now:

1. We need volunteers to help plan & execute our upcoming spring event to replace our Ostara Eggstravaganza. This event is tentatively known as "Ostara 2: Beltane Boogaloo....Now With Less Snow!" Planning a whole new event with some of the same pieces is not hard, but it does require time, and the lead time on this is short. I will be calling tomorrow to see what dates are available....but I'm thinking late April.

2. We need volunteers to plan and execute Pagan Pride Day, which I can't schedule yet, but which is theoretically late August or early September.

Normally I'd send you all to our website to join a group to discuss, but since that's not working at the moment, I've started a facebook group for this at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1705317166543557 - please go and join it if you're interested in working on either of these events.

Good afternoon, Spiral Moon family!

Update: Yesterday's website crash involved some plugin updates gone bad. (Bad Wordpress, no cookie!). Welcome to the shadow of Mercury Retrograde....

We are sorting through that, and also planning some longer term changes in order to limit the risk of future issues (although this takes some time and care and, well, planning). Our priority is getting functions back up one by one, and watching for things to go weird. It's likely there will continue to be some instability for the coming week, and some of those longer term changes will fall out based on what breaks as we turn things back on.

Currently, donations, the calendar, the directory, the shop, volunteer sign ups, messaging, and user groups are not working. Spiral Moon TV is not working on our site (and was not working on Roku - that's a separate issue that we're addressing separately). Apps are still live, but the functionality of apps that are tied directly to the website will be diminished.

Currently working: registering for membership, Spiral Moon's online classes, the library database, the Chamber of Commerce website, our homeschooling resource pages, SEMAPHORE News, or Spiral Moon Circle Publishing.
