It’s not about weight loss anymore, it’s all about life gain.

Weight is a symptom of an underlying problem and it is unfair to ask yourself to lose weight if you’re not going to fix the root cause of the problem. Emotional eating is real.
Some people think they just shouldn’t keep any thing in the house and that is going to be a solution to their problems.
Not allowing yourself to keep anything in the house or having to throw food away because you can’t trust yourself is literally the worst solution for anyone struggling with emotional eating.
This only teaches you that you are not trustworthy (which is just not true).

I always thought that mindset meant I had to be positive all the time.
“Don’t rock the boat”.
“Go along with what everyone else wants because it’s easier”.
“Be supportive to others even if it means making sacrifices myself”
“Making sure I’m the peacemaker and never the troublemaker”.
Etc….
Until one day I realized that these “strategies” were created by a version of myself who:
- Considered herself to be a people pleaser.
- Always put others needs before my own
- Was afraid to speak up for fear that people would like me anymore.
- Went along with the crowd so that I would be abandoned.
- Lived in fear of being left out or not accepted.
Once I learned that most of my social strategies were fear based, I started to become curious about how my need to people please started to begin with.

The words “I’ll start again on Monday” seem sooooo innocent.
Trust me, I used this false phrase on myself for decades.
I truly believed I was being nice to myself by letting myself off the hook from all of my dieting drudgery.
I mean, “come on!”, can’t a girl have a break for a weekend??
“Sheeh!!”
Little did I know the danger that was wrapped up inside of these 6 little words, nor did I acknowledge how many times I had said them.
Saying “I’ll start over again on Monday” was like a free pass into Paradise.
It felt like the prison gates has opened and I was FREE.
But… free to do what?
😮 Hurt myself with food?
🤢 Feel disgustingly bloated?
😬 Spend tons of money that I didn’t have on foods that I really didn’t want to eat?
🤪 Make excuses not to go out so I could hang out alone and home where no one could judge me for what I was determined to eat?
