I am not originally from Macon. I moved here about 22 years ago, but now I really feel a part of this community! The outpouring of love and generosity due to Shon's passing is amazing and my heart is full! Thank you Macon!

For those who don't know, I lost my husband Shon this morning. It was sudden and very devastating. Please understand if I don't reply to messages right away. I appreciate all of your condolences and support.

I am required to publish a paper each week, so please forgive me if this week's paper is not what you expect. My time and heart just isn't in it. I am on my own in this newspaper business.

I will post funeral information as soon as it's available

Shon's best friend started a Go Fund Me page to help with expenses. If you can donate, you will always have my gratitude. If you can't donate, it's completely understandable and I love you all the same. Shon would hate that we are asking for help, but I'm not proud.

Thank you for being Shon's friend and for caring.

Sharon
