Yesterday was my second wedding of the weekend. We celebrated Tyler and Allison Hull Meche. Allison told me she wanted to party and boy did she mean it. She didn’t prepare me for the rest of her guests. Everyone, young and old were on the floor having the best time.
This was an afternoon reception wedding from 2:00pm -7:00pm at Oak Crossing. Once all the formalities were done, it was game on. Allison and Tyler brought the energy and it was amazing. I definitely look forward to partying with these families again in the future.

Two wedding weekend again for two great couples. Friday night I celebrated with Shaina and Dustin Duhon. All the guests were asked to wear all black or black and white. From the introduction, to the end of the night and everything in between, it was a night to remember. I knew it was going to be an awesome night when I saw the Mixons and the O’Neals show up. Two couples that I DJed their weddings a few years ago and I always look forward to seeing. Shaina and Dustin took charge of the dance floor and their guests definitely followed their lead and had a great time.
Thank you to Dustin and Shaina for entrusting me with such and important day in their lives and hoping you’re enjoying drinks on the beach right now.

I highly recommend to all my wedding couples to get a group shot before we open up the dance floor. This creates a great lasting memory for years to come. If you’re a guest at a wedding and asked to do this, please come to the dance floor. For most couples, this is one of the few moments in their life they have their closest friends and family all in one place.

I had the pleasure of partying with two couples this weekend for their wedding receptions. Congratulations to Matt & Shelby Magee and Gage & Catherine Strother. Thank you for entrusting me for such an important day in your lives. I wish you all the best.

What a great way to start off Pride Month…by getting married on the first day. Congratulations goes out to Kasha Carpenter and Jaquelyn Ramon! From the very beginning when we met last year, to last night, these two ladies were awesome to work with. They were very trusting in me to me select a majority of the music for the reception, but they also knew what they wanted. All the families and friends were very responsive to everything I played and was cooperative throughout the night. I’m looking forward to the next time we get to party together.

I had a great time with some of Barbe’s graduating class last night at Game2Life. What was unique is I have DJed for some of these kids since they were in 8th grade. To actually DJ for them one more time before they start their adult lives was really cool. A huge THANK YOU to the parents putting the whole event together and entrusting me once again to entertain their kids.

Congratulations to Evanne Cruze and Ethan Cruze! They had the most beautiful wedding at The Brown Estate of Lamar State College Orange. This was my first time DJing there and I fell in love with this venue. This venue was made for beautiful pictures. I look forward to the next wedding over there.

I had the best time with old and new friends, also some couples that I DJed their weddings at the Krewe du Masque Mardi Gras Ball.

Last night was the way I wanted to start off the new year. It was Studio 24 night for Krewe de la Soiree, 70’s themed ball. It was anything and everything that shines. A big thank you to Vie Visuelle Photography for the awesome shot.

Two recent reviews from the weddings I did the past two weeks on December 9 and 16th. Both weddings had their unique challenges. I was worried for Matt and Jacie Walker's wedding day because we were scheduled to have the ceremony outside at Pecan Coteau and they were scheduling rain. Luckily, the rain held off a couple of hours for us to be able to have the ceremony outside with some sunshine. Once the reception got started, it was a throw down all the way to the end.
I was so grateful for Aisha Shah and Kevin Almerini giving me the opportunity to DJ their wedding. With Aisha being of Indian descent and Kevin from New Jersey, they gave me the challenge of blending both American and Bollywood style music together. I researched different playlists for two months to get familiar with Indian music hits. I received some help from Aisha and her sister Shenu on what to play, but it was my job to keep the dance floor alive. After the response from the crowd that night and Aisha's review, I think I did well. Kevin told me at the end of the night, "I've danced at a lot of weddings, but this is the first time I've danced all night." He literally never got off the dance floor for two and a half hours.

And just like that, it’s a wrap! Aisha Shah and Kevin Almerini even got the t-shirt. A huge thank you to both families for entrusting me. I’ve been wanting to have the opportunity to do and Bollywood fusion wedding since the beginning of the year and what a way to end the year with possibly the best wedding I’ve done all year. I couldn’t have done lot of what I did tonight without the coordination from Lauern Ehly, with Two Be Wed. She really took the stress off of me tonight, so I could do what I do best. I can’t wait to see what next year brings.

Getting things ready for Aisha Shah and Kevin Almerini’s wedding this weekend. This is the part that most people don’t see before the celebration. Preparation is everything. Ceremony tomorrow and then reception on Saturday. I’ve been looking forward to this opportunity for a year now. I’ll follow up with pictures and video this weekend.
