Warrior Watch: PHS to host soccer jamboree next week. Event is an annual tradition on the school’s home fields to kick off fall sports; football and volleyball not in jamborees this year.

Tragedy strikes Highway 20 again with 2 lives lost in crash near Philomath. Crash occurred about 7 miles west of town in the Lilly Hill area on Thursday afternoon; highway was closed for hours.

A Highway 20 crash on Lilly Hill about 7 miles west of Philomath claimed the lives of two individuals Tuesday afternoon, Philomath Fire and Rescue reported.

UPDATE (7:58 p.m.): ODOT just released an alert that Highway 20 is now fully reopened.

UPDATE (7:26 p.m.): ODOT's TripCheck is showing the highway has reopened, although the westbound lane appears to be restricted. The agency is showing an estimated delay under 20 minutes.

UPDATE from ODOT at 6:15 p.m.): U.S. 20 remains closed west of Corvallis and Philomath at milepost 42, about halfway between Wren and Blodgett, due to a crash.

FYI, Highway 20 has been closed for the past 90 minutes or so. I've been away from email and just noticed the alert from ODOT. The closure is about halfway between Wren and Blodgett (milepost 42). BCSO reported on its website that a two-vehicle crash with one confirmed fatality occurred. Two others with serious injuries.

Boat beached on sidewalk along Philomath’s Main Street Monday afternoon. And no, it wasn't trying to launch into Newton Creek.

For motorists driving on Main Street in the late afternoon hours Monday, it would be understandable if a few did a double take while passing through the section that passes over Newton Creek near Green Street.
