In the Innovation District of Providence, restaurants continue to block public parking under the guise of “valet parking”. Moved some cones to park and restaurant employee was hysterical. Prov police officer unsure if I had right to move cone and park. To ease tension, I parked further away in an open spot. This is an ongoing annoyance for city residents

Former gubernatorial candidate Ken Block is a forensic data analyst, and has been examining some of the Washington Bridge-related documents released to news outlets and other sources. His conclusion: that the Rhode Island Department of Transportation took a lackadaisical and/or incompetent approach to managing the doomed bridge even when contractors provided warnings as early as 2012.
Block is spearheading a fundraising campaign to get that message out by purchasing billboard ads on i195, the major thoroughfare that has experienced a rotating set of massive traffic problems since the bridge’s westbound span was suddenly closed last December.
One of the billboards went live on Monday, and Block joins BARTHOLOMEWTOWN today. Listen wherever you get pods or RIpodcast.com

AP: The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court said Monday he is seeking arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in connection with their actions during the seven-month war between Israel and Hamas.

Karim Khan said that he believes Netanyahu, his defense minister Yoav Gallant and three Hamas leaders — Yehia Sinwar, Mohammed Deif and Ismail Haniyeh — are responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip and Israel.
