Super excited to film the biggest ducks unlimited event in the world! If you see my drone flying around please don’t hit it. I know we’ll have some recreational and commercial flyers as we should just be careful and mindful of everyone around. Federal drone laws apply but there are no restrictions outside of that as we are over a lake. If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a drone I mean ball. Just kidding I won’t hit any of you. I can’t wait to see everyone’s content! If you see me smile because you’re probably being filmed or captured 🤩 and come say hi!

The weekend is finally here! If you're in town or on the lake, stop in to the Friday Night Flight at the Garrison VFW Post 1816. Raffles run from 5:00 until 9:00. Food is available. The event is free with your fishing ticket. Trade your ticket for your fishing sticker when you arrive. There are lots of Raffles and a Silent Auction. Need not be present to win! Stop in, play some raffles, have some food and a beverage, and head out when you are ready. All the prizes will be on the lake in the morning. You can check the boards to see if you won and pick up your prize on the lake.

Does anyone know how the ice is to drive on, on Lake Edward, South Long or Hubert? I’ve been on Gull and North Long but want to try something else. Any help is appreciated as I’m new to figuring out ice safety on my own and don’t want to put my jeep through the ice. If you want to share a good spot I’d appreciate and won’t share it publicly. Just shoot me a message.

Knowing the law is one thing. Threatening violence because the law is misunderstood is another. Do not send death threats or nasty s**t to anyone because you’ve been asked not to fly a drone at an event. Even if it’s legal it does not make it safe. Remember the 7yr old at the drone show last year? Be respectful this weekend while they get their air restrictions in place.

Drone laws are just about a decade old and now becoming more widely used. Get a part 107. Know the laws and the devices and for Gods sake if you are a drone operator that flies at events inform your event coordinator of the laws. Help these folks understand the full scope. Safety first.
