The Hidden Crisis Docuseries

The Hidden Crisis is a four-part docuseries produced by Fisher Films in association with Palmetto Family Council.
This docuseries sheds light on the devastating opioid epidemic that plagues South Carolina and the wider United States. Through interviews with South Carolina politicians and medical professionals, the series delves into the alarming realities and the unseen struggles faced by individuals and communities grappling with this crisis.
The series exposes the gravity of the opioid epidemic with South Carolina serving as a microcosm of the nationwide crisis. Viewers are introduced to personal stories of addiction and loss, revealing the toll this crisis takes on families, neighborhoods, and society as a whole. The interviews provide valuable insights into the root causes of the epidemic, exploring factors such as overprescription, pharmaceutical companies, and societal influences.
"The Hidden Crisis" also explores the role of faith in helping individuals navigate the challenges of opioid addiction.

Prisoner by Choice The Frankie San Story is a poignant documentary that provides an in-depth exploration of the extraordinary life of Frankie San, an immigrant from Japan who fought in World War II and later became an American citizen. The documentary delves into Frankie San's remarkable journey, from his arrival in America overlooking Alcatraz to his unexpected path towards serving in one of America's most dangerous prisons, CCI in Columbia, South Carolina.
The documentary delves into Frankie San's early life in Japan, his experiences as a soldier during World War II, and his decision to immigrate to the United States to attend Southern seminary. It sheds light on the challenges he faced as an immigrant, and how he ultimately found his purpose in ministering to the least of these in the South Carolina prison system.
