The Center for Media and Journalism Studies (CMJS) was founded to accomplish three goals, (1) to provide educators and students with resources relevant to understanding how new media influence instruction, journalism, and public debate (2) to apply critical thinking standards to the evaluation and production of news, and (3) to test a new model of journalism that brings together the enthusiasm and

creativity of the citizen journalist with the expertise of college faculty from across the curriculum.
