Part 2 of the Bay Area Godfathers documentary film, directed by Bob Nalbandian (Inside Metal/ Band Vs. Brand Documentary Film) has had its official release date set: on TUES MARCH 23rd the co-production between MetalRock Films and Reality Check TV will be streaming online and out on DVD! The highly-acclaimed Part 1 came out in the Fall of 2020, and has generated tons of positive feedback from fans and the industry alike. Part 2 delves even further into the San Francisco Bay Area hard rock and heavy metal scenes from the late 70s to the early 90s, detailing the rise of many influential bands, and the incredibly vibrant scene that these artists emerged from. is chock full of rare photos, posters and other memorabilia, as well as a wealth of in-depth interviews of people who were there, including members of bands like EXODUS, TESTAMENT, Y&T, VAIN, JETBOY, METALLICA, MEGADETH, VICIOUS RUMORS, DEATH ANGEL and many others, as well as representatives from the music industry and media in the Bay Area. The film also has vast amounts of unique footage of these artists, culled mainly from the Reality Check TV Archives. RCTV Studio provided editing and post-production services for the film as well.
