We at Central Florida SC extend our sincere gratitude for the donations we received during our annual fundraiser.
We set our 2024 goal to $30,000. This amount would help us maintain affordable membership fees, continue giving back to our fellow Apopkans in need, and provide financial aid for players. We believe that all kids who want to play soccer should get to play soccer regardless of their financial situation.
This year, our community blew our fundraiser into orbit by more than doubling our initial goal to help us reach $78,995!
We can’t thank our community enough for their support. We are proud to call Apopka our home and to be Apopka’s OWN youth soccer club! Go Fire!

While Southwest Florida is experiencing catastrophic impacts of Hurricane Ian, here in Apopka, we are blessed to have minimal damage. The typical down branches and trees, some traffic lights were out temporarily, and a bit of flooding here and there. Most notably, on Grossenbacher Drive and Lake Avenue a hole opened up in the road following a pipe collapse. Apopka Public Services have began the process of repairing the damage caused by heavy rains overwhelming the pipe system in that area, leading to the burst. Thank you to our friends at Create Bridge Media for capturing this shot of the damage. This image, in comparison to the scenes we have seen playing out from areas in Ian’s direct impact zones, keep in perspective the spectrum of hurricane experiences. We hope that our readers and fellow Apopkans are all recovering well from this major storm, and look forward to seeing Florida bounce back as she always does following a storm, better than ever.
