I want to thank everybody that came out to my event at El Jardin/Cantina! It was a great night and I saw some people that I hadn’t seen in years and also met some wonderful new people too. It was nice to finally meet Virgo and also to see Irene Michaels, and QUINN is somebody I haven’t seen in forever, and it was so great to see her! There was Kevin Hough from BMO & my longtime buddy Adam Rebellious…. love all of you and can’t mention you all but I’m going to add some photos. I’ve been really busy working on my new album Disco 3000 of course I also want to thank Mike Macherello & BOI Magazine.

Today is international women’s day! Let’s all celebrate our wonderful friends, and even all the other women that we don’t know… it’s about inspiring and setting a good example. if I hadn’t met Sylvia Robinson, who started Sugarhill Records I probably would’ve never gotten the idea to do what I do today at Trax Records. She inspired me to know that there was more I could do. My mentor Dr. Richard Cook took out an article from Time magazine about Master P and said Rachael you could do this too, meaning the label, being an artist and all the things Master P did! But what really cinched the deal was Sylvia Robinson because she like me was a woman!!!
So fellow women be strong don’t let anyone talk you out of your dreams don’t let anyone convince you you’re being a bitch because you’re actually pushing yourself and doing things that are good for you. Don’t be afraid to take charge. Let your haters be your motivators…. Spread love and be positive and pray to God that your visions and dreams will come true.

It’s with an extremely heavy heart that I announced the passing of a great friend and a wonderful guitarist, Matt Donavon. He was a simple kind of guy who lived for his music and many people loved him and were touched by him. I’m so glad that I got to reach him while we could still talk And he was still coherent so that I could tell him how much I loved him and appreciated him and his music! After that time I got deadly sick myself probably some new strain of Covid or the flu. I’m not really sure but whatever it is, it’s knocked me out extremely But I cannot say how sad I am and I’m sure I’m not gonna make very much sense here but I just want everybody to know how much I did love Matt… His brother Paul and TRAX plan on doing a tribute album for him to definitely highlight much of the music that he did with us. I’m so glad that he did a lot of music and I know that one day when I pass the most important thing that I can leave behind is my music and I believe that Matt would feel the same way.
