Boss Smit, production manager at Beat by Boss, has been in the industry since 91. In 1992 he was signed to SOLAR Records as part of the Gangster Rap duo Bossman & da Bandit at age 19.
SOLAR went on to launch the careers of other famous rappers and artists like Snoop Dogg, Baby Face, Shalimar and others.
Today, Boss Smit and the talented team at Beat By Boss create custom, one-off beats that fit the unique vibe and style of each client they work with. We have 3 recording rooms to fit the mood of the piece being created including upbeat and happy, sad and dark, and super aggressive.
