On November 3, 2024, the Fort Payne Fire Department received a call from a woman who was in labor and needed assistance. It was too late to take the expectant mother to the hospital. Firefighter Taylor Mitchell delivered the baby at home, weighing 6 pounds, 9 ounces. The family was so appreciative that they named the baby Psalm Taylor!

Today, the family brought Psalm by the Fire Department to visit the man who helped bring him into the world. Hero’s don’t always wear capes, sometimes they wear a Fort Payne Fire Department uniform! 👨🏼‍🚒 🚒

The Town of Sylvania Police Chief, Jeremy Ake, is giving back to the community during the Christmas season with the help of local businesses and residents!

Chief Ake, raised enough money to purchase 16 bicycles that will be distributed to disadvantaged children in the Town of Sylvania! Thanks for having a servant’s heart!
