World Kindness Day is celebrated around the world today, November 13, 2024.

On Friday night, a joint effort between two communities paid off in a big way!

Earlier this year, Pisgah Head Football Coach Luke Pruitt reached out to Crossville High School about the possibility of their marching band playing at Pisgah’s football games for the 2024 season. Arrangements were made and the CHS Marching Band has played at four games thus far with more to come.

One night, while discussing this unique situation, CHS alum and current Crossville middle school teacher, Tara Harris Kirby, had the idea of raising funds to support the band and the “Lions Roar To Help Eagles Soar” buttons came about.

Through the sale of these buttons and generous donations from Pisgah to Birmingham and all points in between, on Friday, a check in the amount of $2,517 was presented to CHS Band Director Ezra Bryant and members of the marching band! Crossville High School Marching Band Pisgah High School
