Rushing Media continued its tradition of providing local news to Terrebonne and Lafourche residents with its purchase of The Times of Houma-Thibodaux in August 2014. Previously published under the Tri-Parish Times banner, the weekly newspaper emerged as a leader in reporting, garnering 10 consecutive Newspaper of the Year titles from the Louisiana Press Association. Under The Times flag, the weekly paper continued as an independent, locally-owned voice for the region. With this switch, The Times Online is able to provide readers with the most up-to-date news and information with no paywall, in real time. Rushing Media also produces Point of Vue Magazine, Bayou Business Monthly, and The Weekly Want Ads. With years of publishing success in Southeast Louisiana, Rushing Media is not looking back but looking to the future.
