Corporate Confessor is a community of muckrakers and like-minded individuals with whom semi-reasonable people can anonymously share first and second hand stories about corporate corruption or malfeasance, their perspective on news and current events, or simply procrastinate over their cheerios. It is our hope that once corporations learn they can no longer operate above the law or in the dark of n
ight, or that they will be called out in a public forum for their unscrupulous conduct, they will increasingly, if reluctantly, become driven as much by values as profit. Corporate Confessor believes in a capitalist system; just not this system. Like many others in the "extreme center," we are passionate about justice and fairness. We believe in private enterprise, competition, profit, and the general desire or freedom to enjoy goods and services. However, we also believe that excessive greed, wealth and corporate hegemony, have increasingly dominated our political economy in ways that are outright destructive to capitalism, democracy, human dignity and justice. Indeed, those who follow the rules should be allowed to profit--even handsomely. But those who bend and break them to unfair advantage, especially at others' expense, should suffer the ignominious consequences. We are a small group of individuals working toward what we hope is a greater good. So your active participation and constructive feedback are most welcome. We absolutely encourage our users to contribute wherever and whenever possible, hold us accountable where warranted, and make suggestions on ways we can improve our site and our community.
