Last April we photographed the Pittsburgh Metsquerade. We created this short video to showcase the Metsquerade's Angel Table, honoring more than 40 people from the Pittsburgh area who recently died of metastatic breast cancer.

This October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month - if you're considering how to honor your loved ones who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, we highly recommend a donation to METAvivor Research and Support Inc.

METAvivor exists to sustain hope for those living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer (the most advanced stage of the disease.) They are a volunteer-led, non-profit organization that funds vital research to help improve the longevity and quality of life for MBC patients.

This is personal. I (Blonnie) have been living with stage 4 breast cancer now for 6 years. My hope is to continue to defy the odds and donations to organizations like Metavivor (100% of all donations go into MBC-specific research grants) will help make that possible.

We are sending our sincerest condolences to our friends at Tory Hollow Farm who recently lost their sweet Luna. We'd never hung out with a camel before Luna but like everyone who met her, we fell in love. She was the sweetest creature... so gentle and curious. She will be so very missed!

Happy Birthday in Heaven to our princess. We hope you are knocking over fences and eating the greenest grass to celebrate. You are so deeply missed. 🐪🌙💜

P&P is also a client! We supply them with social media content of their products to help showcase their unique artwork from various member artists!

Just in!!! Blonnie Brooks took this photograph, "Three Mermaids Monument at Drweckie Lake in Ostróda, Poland", while on a trip there. It is a 12"×18" deep matte print (mounted on foam core) and unframed. The monument creates an interesting juxtaposition to the sailboats rigging.

A big congratulations to our resident poster girl, Joanna DiPaola for winning Cecil County's favorite bartender!! JoJo is known for her warm & inviting personality with the right amount of sass to boot. You are a true Rockstar and we are so glad that everyone agrees. Be sure to give our girl a little 'toot toot' when you see her in the Tap Room. Way to go JoJo!!

Sometimes a photograph is not enough and we have to use magical Photoshop fairy dust 🧚‍♂️ to make an image perfect.

Here's an example using an image I created for our client The Palette & The Page, LLC to showcase a beautiful original piece created by local artist, Julie Cargill.

Photoshop was used to remove the background and then I added the artwork to a stock image that was complementary to the piece.

The addition of shadows and highlights helps make the final image look realistic.

Check out this tasty burger we photographed at Unwined on the Water for Cecil County Tourism. We are looking forward to visiting more local eateries this year since last year was a bust. Om Nom Nom! 🙂
