Have you seen these white bags on citrus trees and wondered what they are for? They are actually called Individual Protective Covers (IPC’s) and are breathable mesh screens that can be left on year round. They enable rapid tree growth and greater canopy development because they keep the Asian Citrus Psyllid that carry citrus greening disease from attacking the young tree. They also keep other pests like deer from eating the young, tender new growth.
