Area Woman Magazine Area Woman is the first known, free-released, women's interest magazine in the country. We're celebrating our 38th year in Fargo-Moorhead!

Our mission at Area Woman magazine is to inspire, empower and educate women. Our pages are filled with enlightening stories of local women as they celebrate their connection with family, friends, and community. We embrace our reader’s core values and interests with stories of fashion, home, garden, entertainment, food, health, relationships, business and events. We strive to maintain a high level

of integrity as an inspiring, local media presence and to provide our advertisers with a high-quality, effective advertising medium. Celebrate with us as we enter 38 years of distribution in the FM area! We are proud of our history as the first known, local, free-released women’s interest magazine in the country. You’ll find us all around town from doctor’s offices to advertisers counters to local grocery stores. We sincerely thank all who make it possible for us to continue serving our local community. We look forward to many more years of delivering fresh, timely content engaging women in living a vibrant, healthy, and satisfying life. At Area Woman, Fargo-Moorhead is home. The Fargo-Moorhead area is a vibrant, growing community and a great place to live, work, and play. Statistical data shows Fargo-Moorhead is comprised of 49.9% women. Area women play important roles in business, education, health care, and agriculture, as well as emerging leadership in the physical sciences and information technology fields. We work here, raise our families here, build friendships here and engage in the community by buying houses, creating businesses, and living out our passions. ‘Don’t underestimate the power of connections’ — these words of are crucial no matter what field of work or industry you’re in. The power of connections and relationships are what businesses are built on. If you haven’t listened to episode 32 of my podcast, where I interview Jim Boulger of Boulger Funeral Home, it’s a must listen! Jim is a great person and asset to our community.
