As the borough of Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania fights for its life, author Marci Lynn McGuinness wrote a book to honor the couple who built the town, Congressman Andrew Stewart and wife, Elizabeth. They also owned the block called "Stewart's Row" at Morgantown and Main Streets in Uniontown.
The Stewarts also built the Stone House Inn (Fayette Springs Hotel, 1822) where Andrew Stewart is often seen and felt although he died in 1872! Who did he lock in a closet with no lock? Is there an ankle-grabber in the house? And who giggles in the basement?
On October 16, 17, 23 and 24, the author will talk about the haunted inn, its ghosts, and her new book, Andy & Liz, An Ohiopyle Love Story. She will be autographing her new historical romance with its historical photo chapter in the back. Andy & Liz is the first in the "Ohiopyle Love Story" history trilogy.
The author is presently writing Bert & Annie, An Ohiopyle Love Story, II, and outlining Buck & Belle, An Ohiopyle Love Story, III. Each book takes us through Ohiopyle Life during a war. The Civil War, WWI, and WWII are featured as is the Ohiopyle House Hotel.
