I would like to thank both festivals for recognizing our films and the hard work and skill we poured into them. It's an honor to be selected, but even more so to be awarded amongst so many great independent films that are being produced!
Raising Warriors Episode #1 has been selected to be showcased at the Tryon International Film Festival in October! This would be a big accomplishment to take home an potential award for sharing the stories of Youth MMA..

The orange street lamp, an Aputure 60D with a blue gel, and 4 aputure MCs combined with the beautiful choreography of the dancers for the grande finale. I love how the blue gel backlight combined with the other lights to create a turquoise aura around our central dancer with the orange window light piercing through. Couldn't be happier with how this turned out!

One of the fun things about making a dance music video with a team is finding ways to capture and highlight the beautiful moment of the dancers and emphasize some of the bigger moments and highlight some moments that would be easy to miss on a stage.

Thanks to the and Aputure 's line of lights we were able to create a variety of looks quickly by pre-programing the lighting effects we wanted and making small adjustments to positioning on set. This allowed us to create an incredibly complex video with multiple distinct looks in a matter of a few hours of production time, and with a small crew.

This was one of my favorite setups for this music video. We use Aputure MC lights to form a sort of runway between two dancers that illuminated in shifting hues as they danced alongside the lights.

For this shoot we had the advantage of a very orange street lamp shining directly into one of the windows in the warehouse. Combine that with a bright white daylight balanced light and you get this surreal effect that wouldn't be out of place in the next Dune film.

"C'est La Vie" has started its festival tour and is knocking audiences out of their seats! What started as a 48 hour film festival project has taken a life of its own as a bizarre art film. Come experience C'est La Vie at the The Underdog Film Festival on October 21st at Camelot Cinemas in Greenville SC.
We've had an epic summer and that's down to all our clients who have trusted us with their stories, their music, their brand, and their ideas while giving us the opportunity to travel, collaborate, and create art on their behalf. It's also down to the incredibly talented people we've worked with from actors, to musicians, to circus performers, to the crew behind the camera. With fall fast approaching we made this video to highlight what we've created together. Next month we're in two festivals, we'll drop a music video, and hopefully be announcing more projects for the fall and winter, but in this moment we look back and simply say "thank you!"

These parents were told that their dyslexic child’s struggles were “Developmentally Appropriate.” Who else has heard this? While interviewing parents for our film “Written Off: America’s Failure to Educate Dyslexic” we kept hearing the same story over and over again. The parents knew their child was bright, intelligent and capable, but when they sought answers for why their child was struggling in school the school would deflect their questions or deny that there was a problem. This was heartbreaking for the parents who often felt that their child was being abandoned by the school system, or worse that they were in part to blame for their child’s struggle. The real problem? Their child was one of the 1 in 5 people with dyslexia, and the school system isn’t designed to teach students with dyslexia.
