Two University of Kentucky students have been charged with the r**e of another student in an on-campus residence hall.

Freshmen Angus Thompson, 18, and Addison Adkins, 18, were arrested on Monday, March 3, 2025.

Thompson was charged with 1st-degree r**e, and Adkins was charged with 1st-degree r**e and 2nd-degree strangulation, according to the arrest warrant.
The incident occurred in Ball Hall on the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, and was reported to UK Police on Feb. 22.

Thompson appeared in court on Zoom and Adkins appeared in person. Both defendants pled not-guilty.
Both defendants posted a $25,000 bond and were released, according to the Lexington jail website.
Thompson and Adkins were ordered not to go on or near UK’s campus or to contact the victim. The co-defendants were also ordered not to contact one another.

Both defendants will next appear in court on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
