After conducting a storm survey, the National Weather Service in Albany concluded that an EF0 tornado touched down 2 miles ENE of Broadalbin, NY yesterday. The tornado touched down in the backyard of Cerrero's Cuts before traveling across Route 29 and impacting a private residence. The tornado was only on the ground for 1 minute.

The NWS in Albany have released another storm survery stating an EF1 tornado touched done in Edinburg briefly on Tuesday July, 16th. In their report, it should be noted that the majority of the tree damage was caused by a microburst. We have more on the damage coming up live during our evening newscasts.

Our CDPHP First Warning Cam in Amsterdam caught this great timelapse of our tornado warned supercell. You can see the initial wall cloud followed by torrential rain and then the rotation that prompted the tornado warning to be issued!

A Strong thunderstorm will impact parts of Berkshire, Albany, Rensselaer, and Bennington counties through 3:15pm. This is a fast moving storm capable of producing 50mph wind gusts and heavy downpours.

Anyone at SPAC should seek shelter IMMEDIATELY. A strong thunderstorm with gusts up to 50mph and pea size hail will impact portions of Saratoga, Washington, and Bennington counties through 3pm. These storms are producing heavy downpours as well.

A strong thunderstorm will impact parts of Schenectady, Albany, Saratoga, and Rensselaer counties through 2:45pm. This fast moving storm is capable of producing 50mph wind gusts, pea size hail, and torrential downpours. Head inside and seek shelter until this passes.
