I had no idea until a friend called me last night, but I was listed on the MPSE golden reel nomination for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing - Game Dialogue for the last Call of Duty! The awards already happened and COD didn’t win, but this and CAS are pretty much the premiere awards in sound, so it was pretty cool to find out

I literally only did a week or two of editing on it to help them meet a deadline so I kind of forgot about it 😂

Abyssmal 20th anniversary party! First photo is a couple drinks in with all of us wearing our Abyssmal shirts! Second is when Becky n I showed up and before the drinking commenced! 😂 last photo is a true piece of Abyssmal history. bought this keyboard for ‘s studio that he built in downtown Orlando. Then years after closing the studio, Steven kept trying to give it to me, but it’s heavy and large and I didn’t know where my life would end up, so I repeatedly refused. After Steven moved out to Cali, I was in a way better place in life and could extend a warm welcome to this puppy to my studio! It literally changed everything for me. I know it’s like a 30 year old keyboard, but Steven kept it in new condition all that time and I never abused it, so it’s still going strong! All the midi control I could ever ask for! And now it’s adorned with the Abyssmal 20 year sticker to commemorate its use on a lot of Abyssmal’s projects! Here’s to the next 20 years!!

Omg! After 3 days it’s finally done! Upgraded from an Apogee Quartet to an Ensemble as the heart of the studio giving me way more inputs for my synths. Also finally got my sound blankets up as I prepare for a surround mix next month. Now I can get back to work!!
