Brian Levy started his career in technology in 1994 working for MTV, Music Television as the first Internet Producer in the channel’s history. He launched MTV.com in 1995 and went on to become the Manager of Interactive Development. In this position, Brian developed brand new technology and software applications for MTV for use on its website and live air television shows. In April of 1997, Brian founded a new company called Standpipe Studios, LLC
(www.standpipe.com) a software development company creating web-based applications for both brick and mortar companies and Internet Startups. Brian has managed large-scale technology projects for companies like Avon, Young & Rubicam, and Vicor Power. In 1999, Brian created a project management software product called Vertabase www.vertbase.com which is still in use by companies, cities, and the US government (CBS, Chrysler, US Marine Corps). In 2006 he sold his interest in his software company to follow his passion for security and wireless technologies. Since then, Brian has created large-scale security systems to help protect clients and companies with both advanced and covert security solutions including site hardening and projects funded by Homeland Security. Brian’s focus is on industrial and commercial security projects and scouring the industry for the best of breed solutions for his clients. Whatever the application, Brian brings a strong passion to his work and believes that security is only valuable if it meets the standard of prosecutable evidence and the needs of the customer. Brian participates on the security committees of regional community groups and is a member of the Bear Valley Police Department Amateur Radio Team. Brian is also an expert in all aspects of radio technology, and has been building and writing about radio technology for over 15 years and holds the call sign W2BRI.
