Alexis DeJoria Joins JCM Racing for 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Series Season

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (January 7, 2025) – Alexis DeJoria is taking her talents to Joe Maynard’s JCM Racing team for the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, it was announced by both parties today. DeJoria will join Maynard’s multi-car operation where she will pilot the Bandero Premium Tequila Funny Car. DeJoria previously drove for Del Worsham and the DC Motorsports team where she advanced to the final round seven times including powering to victory at the 2021 Bristol, Tenn. event during the team’s run from 2020 through the 2024 season. Prior, she competed under the Kalitta Motorsports banner from 2011 through 2017.

“First and foremost, I want to share my appreciation for Del Worsham and all he has done for me and my career,” DeJoria said. “He has been with me since day one. I licensed in his Funny Car way back in 2011. He was my first crew chief at Kalitta Motorsports. Del and I have really been in the trenches as teammates. He’s my mentor, my closest confidante, and really, my brother. We had several candid conversations over these last few months about the future of the team. He expressed wanting to take some time to reevaluate the direction of his career, and I wholeheartedly support that.

“I’m really looking forward to this next chapter in my career, competing as a member of the JCM Racing team,” DeJoria added. “It’s been many years since I was part of a multi-car operation and I’m excited for that opportunity. From my very first conversation with Joe about us potentially teaming up, I knew this was going to be a good fit. His enthusiasm for the sport is incredible, and the impact he has made on this industry in just a few years’ time is undeniable. I have unfinished business on the track, and I have no doubt our Bandero team will be dialed in and ready to perform when we get to Gainesville for the Gatornationals season opener in two months.”

DeJoria is a six-time Funny Car national event winner including her victory from the prestigious 60th annual U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, and brings nearly two decades of experience to JCM Racing. Before making her professional debut at the 2011 Dallas event, DeJoria also found success competing in the NHRA’s Super Comp and Top Alcohol categories. With her two Sportsman wins, she is an eight-time race winner overall and is the only driver to own the trifecta of Super Comp, Top Alcohol Funny Car, and Funny Car victories. She also became the first woman to clock a sub-four-second Funny Car pass during the 2014 NHRA Winternationals.

“It’s clear to me that Alexis is a racer through and through,” said Maynard, who successfully launched his JCM Racing team at the 2022 NHRA Northwest Nationals and went on to win that event in his first weekend of team ownership. “We’re both here for the love of the sport and that’s important to me. That’s why my family and I first started our team to begin with. We were fans first, then sponsors, and then team owners. That’s how we felt we could best support NHRA Drag Racing, and Alexis shares that same love of the sport. I also want to share my gratitude to Del for making this transition process so smooth. As a fellow team owner and friend, I have nothing but respect for him.

“We’re very excited to have Alexis in our stable this year. She’s hungry for race wins and a championship, and we’d love nothing more than to give her the tools and support to go out there and become NHRA’s first female Funny Car world champion.”

DeJoria will make her JCM Racing debut at the NHRA pre-season test session scheduled for March 4 - 5 at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Fla. Her crew chief, along with the full 2025 JCM Racing driver lineup, will be announced at a later date.

NHRA AND FOX SPORTS RELEASE TV SCHEDULE FOR
UPCOMING 2025 NHRA MISSION FOODS DRAG RACING SERIES SEASON

INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 13, 2024) – NHRA officials and FOX Sports announced today the television schedule for the upcoming 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, which includes eight broadcasts on the FOX broadcast network.

All 20 races, along with the NHRA All-Star Callout events in Top Fuel and Funny Car, and the GETTRX NHRA All-Star Callout race in Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle, will be broadcast on either FOX or FS1 during the 2025 campaign. The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season opens March 6-9 with the 56th annual NHRA Gatornationals at legendary Gainesville Raceway. The race includes the NHRA Top Fuel All-Star Callout, which will be broadcast at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 8 on FS1 and eliminations from the season-opener airing from 7-10 p.m. the following day.

For the fifth consecutive season, a September event in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs will also air on FOX adjacent to an NFL broadcast, providing NHRA to a huge audience during its playoffs. That opportunity has repeatedly led to impressive viewership numbers, including an average of more than 1.2 million viewers on FOX last year during the broadcast from Maple Grove Raceway.

That marks the final race of the season appearing on the FOX broadcast network, following a summer filled with incredible racing action on the broadcast network. Races scheduled to appear on FOX include the NHRA New England Nationals from New England Dragway in Epping, N.H. (June 1), the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals from Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk (June 29), the Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals from Pacific Raceways (July 20), a special showing of the Mission Challenge from Sonoma Raceway (July 26), and the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals from Brainerd International Raceway (Aug. 17), leading into the world’s biggest drag race.

The prestigious 71st annual Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals, which takes place Aug. 27-Sept. 1 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, will air on both FOX and FS1, including eliminations on FOX on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1 from the Big Go. The Funny Car All-Star Callout will also air on FOX on Sunday, Aug. 31, ensuring two days of coverage on FOX for NHRA’s biggest event. Eliminations will receive five hours of coverage on Monday, starting with two hours (12-2 p.m. ET) on FS1 before moving to FOX.

Along with the nitro Callouts, both the GETTRX NHRA Pro Stock All-Star Callout and the GETTRX NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle All-Star Callout will receive special Saturday broadcasts. The Pro Stock version, which takes place Saturday, June 28 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, will air at 3 p.m. ET that day on FS1, while the PSM Callout from Sonoma Raceway will air at 9:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 26 on FS1.

The NHRA and FOX relationship began in 2016, and NHRA and FOX Sports announced a multiyear extension of their agreement in 2021, including expanded coverage, the NFL adjacent event during the Countdown to the Championship, and extensive finals coverage at the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals over Labor Day Weekend each year. The partnership has also led to numerous innovations on the broadcast in recent years, with the NHRA on FOX team collecting numerous Telly awards in 2024.
FOX Sports and NHRA are also scheduling NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series broadcasts, as well as shows featuring the NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series across the FOX Sports networks.
NHRA races will also appear in Canada and the Caribbean through FOX Sports Racing as well, as well as through the FOX Sports app.

2025 NHRA PRO STOCK AND PRO STOCK MOTORCYCLE SCHEDULES RELEASED

Pro Stock to compete at 18 races with GETTRX All-Star Callout moving to Norwalk; PSM to race at 15 events, GETTRX All-Star Callout again in Sonoma

INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 11, 2024) – NHRA announced today the 2025 schedule for the Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle categories in the Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, including the dates for the GETTRX NHRA All-Star Callout in both categories.

The talent-heavy Pro Stock category will compete at 18 races during the 2025 campaign, racing at every event on the NHRA national tour except for Chicago and Richmond. The 74th season of the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series opens with the 55th annual NHRA Gatornationals on March 6-9 at legendary Gainesville Raceway, the first of 20 races next year.

Top Fuel and Funny Car will compete at all 20 events, while Pro Stock will race at 18 events and Pro Stock Motorcycle will be contested at 15 races. After taking place in Chicago the previous two seasons, the GETTRX Pro Stock All-Star Callout will also get a new destination in 2025, as the fan-favorite one-day specialty race will take place as part of the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals on Saturday, June 28 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

Greg Anderson is the defending winner of the Callout, while Anderson also enters the 2025 season as the reigning world champion, clinching his sixth world championship in a winner-take-all final round against KB Titan Racing teammate Dallas Glenn at the finale in Pomona.

Pro Stock Motorcycle will compete at 15 events during the 2025 campaign, beginning with the category’s traditional opener in Gainesville. Pro Stock Motorcycle will also race at the four-wide race in Charlotte and return to Chicago for the third straight year. Following a busy June that includes races in Bristol, Richmond and Norwalk, the class will again compete in Seattle, where the class raced for the first time in 2023, and Sonoma. The GETTRX Pro Stock Motorcycle Callout will also take place at the Denso NHRA Sonoma Nationals on Saturday, July 27, as Matt Smith will look to repeat his specialty race win.

After a one-race break, Pro Stock Motorcycle will then return at Indy, finishing the season at the final seven events. Gaige Herrera won the championship in the two-wheeled category for a second straight year, picking up 10 event wins along the way.

All four professional categories will also race in all six events in the Countdown to the Championship playoffs. Callout races will take place in Top Fuel and Funny Car as well, with the Top Fuel All-Star Callout taking place in Gainesville and the Funny Car All-Star Callout thrilling fans at the prestigious Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indy.

The popular Mission Foods NHRA Challenge, which brings competitive racing, a bonus purse and bonus championship points to Saturday qualifying, will return in 2025 as well, taking place at 13 regular-season events, including four-wide races at Las Vegas and Charlotte.
