NASHVILLE, TN — 21-year-old Antione Moore was involved in a domestic altercation with the mother of his child, Little Boyd, at their Riverchase Boulevard apartment residence at 5:28 p.m. on June 27th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Boyd, who stated that Moore had assaulted her after an argument. Boyd informed them that the argument began after Moore had canceled her Airbnb reservation for her stay in California next week. Moore entered the room, covered Boyd's head with a blanket, and took her phone. Boyd claims that Moore went outside with her phone and threw it on the ground, shattering the back panel and denting the corner, making the phone malfunction. Boyd then stated that she and Moore then wrestled each other outside, where he then punched her once in the face on her nose bridge. Moore immediately returned to the apartment complex to retrieve their infant son, resulting in another argument; however, this time, it was over the child. Boyd stated she was pleading for Moore to return her son as he was holding the child incorrectly and with improper care that could injure him. As Boyd reached out to obtain her son out of Moore's hands, he then punched her two more times in the face. Officers spoke with several witnesses on the scene who stated that the infant child's head and neck were not secured, and the child was being held in a manner that could have hurt him. Moore then proceeded to flee the location before officers arrived. However, he was found that same day and was taken into custody for child endangerment and domestic assault.

NASHVILLE, TN — 24-year-old D'Andre Daniels was involved in a domestic altercation with his juvenile brother at their Fain Street residence at 11:50 p.m. on July 1st. When officers arrived, they spoke with Daniels' younger brother. He stated that while outside, he and Daniels began tossing around a basketball and that Daniels started yelling obscenities, trying to provoke him into an argument. The juvenile then claims that Daniels threw the basketball hard at him, striking his chest. Daniels then began yelling more profanity and threatened to fight his younger brother when he asked why he did that. Proceeding with this, their eldest brother, Anthony Washington, confronted Daniels because Washington felt that the juvenile's safety was in jeopardy. Washington told Daniels to step outside if he wanted to fight another grown adult instead of a juvenile, and the two bumped chests.

Daniels' younger brother told officers that this was when he got their mother, Aiesha Daniels, who attempted to separate the two older brothers. Aiesha didn't think she could stop them if they fought, so she called the police. Anthony and Daniels then went their separate ways, and the juvenile grabbed the basketball off the floor so that Daniels could no longer hit him with it. Upset by this, Daniel took the basketball and threatened the juvenile with another fight, calling him profanities again. Daniels proceeded to shoulder check, push, and get into the juvenile's face. The juvenile also told officers that he was in fear of bodily injury as he thought Daniels was going to punch him. Officers then spoke with Washington, who stated that he witnessed Daniels's shoulder check, push, and threaten the juvenile during their altercation. When officers spoke and asked Daniels what happened, he only claimed that "words were exchanged." Due to the statements made, Daniels was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

NASHVILLE, TN — 46-year-old Jason Carden was involved in an altercation with his roommate, Micheal Murphy, at their Roundwood Forest Drive residence on July 1st. When officers arrived, they heard a struggle inside the residence and banged on the door until Carden answered. Carden explained to officers that the altercation began when he provided Murphy with a 30-day notice, leading Murphy to become agitated and charge at him. Sometime during the fight, Carden used his firearm to strike Murphy in the head in an attempt to subdue him until the officers arrived. Officers then spoke with Murphy, who stated that he had mentioned fixing the ice machine to Carden, as he believed he was entitled to that accommodation due to paying rent. In response, Carden became angry and aimed his firearm at Murphy, making him feel threatened. Murphy claimed that Carden grabbed him around the neck and struck his head multiple times with the gun until the officers arrived. Murphy sustained a significant head injury with bleeding. Officers determined that Carden was the primary aggressor and subsequently was taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

NASHVILLE, TN — 25-year-old Orrett Wayne Higgins had a domestic incident with his roommate, Brian St. Patrick Jones, at their shared household on June 25th. Jones told responding officers that Higgins approached him and placed a knife in his face, which sparked a fight. During the altercation, Higgins stabbed him in the leg. Two witnesses corroborated Jones’ statement. Officers observed that Jones had a large gash in his leg and was in visible pain while waiting for the medics’ arrival. NASHVILLE, TN — 31-year-old Tyler Reemes, Joe Nail, and another unidentified individual caused a disturbance with two employees, Bayron Jovanny Duarte and Amanda Andrews, at the Harding Place 7-Eleven on February 9th. Duarte and Andrews spoke with responding officers, advising that two individuals, later identified as Reemes and Nail, entered the store, argued with its staff members, and refused to leave. They further explained that Reemes initiated the dispute and left the store but later returned with two others, one of which was Nail. When they came into the store, Reemes became confrontational and aggressive, as if he was preparing to attack, causing Duarte and Andrews to fear for their safety. After that, they stated that Reemes reached into his pockets several times while taking a fighting stance. During this interaction, Nail attempted to get over the counter and pulled out a knife before swinging it in what appeared to be an effort to cut Andrews. Seeing this, Nail walked away and exited the establishment. When Duarte told Reemes to leave, Nail reentered the store and started kicking Duarte until he tried defending himself. At the end of the interaction, the employees stated that Reemes and Nail had left and provided officers with footage of the occurrence. A warrant was obtained for Reemes’ arrest on April 5th. Reemes was then taken into custody for two counts of assault on June 26th.

NASHVILLE, TN — A Davidson County Grand Jury indicted 57-year-old Mary French Poindexter for theft on February 28th, 2024. The indictment alleges that Poindexter, between February 26th, 2018, and May 6th, 2022, before the finding of this indictment, knowingly did obtain or exercise control over certain property, to wit: money, of the value of $60,000 or more but less than $250,000, the property of Tennessee Staff Organization, an affiliate of National Staff Organization, without their effective consent and with the intent to deprive them of the property. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $50,000.

NASHVILLE, TN — 39-year-old Michael Christopher Parker caused a disturbance and refused to leave the Dickerson Pike CITGO early June 29th. When officers arrived, they spoke with the location’s employees. CITGO Employees stated that Parker was attempting to shoplift and would not leave after being asked to. Then, officers talked to Parker, who told them he would not leave because they owed him $4 for some chicken he purchased. Officers also gave Parker multiple chances to exit the store, but he refused. Officers detained Parker for the occurrence. Parker was taken into custody for criminal trespass.

! The East Precinct’s Investigations Unit is working to identify the person responsible for defacing/vandalizing the rainbow crosswalk at S. 14th and Woodland Streets created last Saturday at the end of Pride Month.

Surveillance video shows the driver of a white Ford van pour a container of black paint over the crosswalk at 12:25 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2. The driver is a white man wearing a black t-shirt.

NASHVILLE, TN — 20-year-old Koriona Harding crashed her car into a telephone pole on the side of Hickory Hollow Parkway in the early hours of June 26th. When officers arrived, they observed Harding sitting in her driver’s seat in a “hysterical state” and confused about what had happened before the accident. Officers prompted Harding with sobriety tests, to which she consented and performed poorly. During the tests, she did not follow instructions and, at one point, started pacing up and down the roadway as if she were showing them she could walk in a straight line. She was Mirandized and agreed to provide a blood sample after being informed of implied consent. During an inventory search of her vehicle, they located a small amount of ma*****na shake. Harding was transported to Nashville General Hospital and was then taken into custody for driving under the influence.

NASHVILLE, TN — 18-year-old Chreasia Saren Leona Faust and a group of minors, including her 13-year-old brother, were harassing people and stealing their money by selling candy bars near the 11th Avenue South and Pine Street intersection on June 6th. Investigators discovered that they had a fraudulent school flyer and were trying to convince people to buy candy from them. After detaining them, officers found Faust had over $200 in her backpack and pants pocket. Additionally, she had a box of Peanut M&Ms with some missing. Then, Faust became resistive, pushing and pulling her arms away until officers could handcuff her. Faust also threatened to spit on officers as they arrested her. Faust was cited for the occurrence that day. Faust was then booked on the citation of criminal impersonation, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and resisting arrest on June 25th.

NASHVILLE, TN — 20-year-old Doneecia Johnson was seen stealing from the T.J. Maxx on Opry Mills Drive on June 25th. Employees at the T.J. Maxx notified the officers that Johnson was hiding and concealing items while shopping. A member of store security told law enforcement that they kept an eye on Johnson as she moved around the store and observed that she only paid for one item at the register but walked out with several other items. Officers approached Johnson in the parking lot and found that she had a plastic bag containing various items from T.J. Maxx. When officers told Johnson about the situation, she could only provide proof of one purchase in the bag. The stolen items were recovered and confirmed to be worth $72.01. It was also found that Johnson had an outstanding warrant for reckless driving, so she was taken into custody for theft, reckless driving, and driving with a suspended license.

NASHVILLE, TN — 28-year-old Niki Branner was seen almost crashing into an officer's car on Briley Parkway on June 23rd. Officers observed a black Jeep Grand Cherokee speed past them and immediately slowed down. Officers continued to drive, but as they approached the vehicle in the left lane, it came into their lane, almost hitting them. Officers conducted a traffic stop and approached Branner's vehicle. As authorities interacted with Branner, they noticed a bag of ma*****na. Officers asked Branner if she had smoked that day. Branner admitted that she had smoked 1-2 blunts before she started driving. Officers then asked her if she had any alcoholic beverages before driving. Branner told officers that she did not have any. Branner told officers that she had a gun belonging to her child's father, so she was asked to exit her car. Officers then took the suspected bag of ma*****na and the weapon. Branner agreed to perform sobriety tests, but she performed poorly on the tests, showing numerous indicators of intoxication. After searching the vehicle, officers found an open plastic cup containing an alcoholic drink. Branner was taken into custody for possession of a weapon under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, having an open container of alcohol, driving under the influence, and implied consent on June 24th.

NASHVILLE, TN — 32-year-old Michael Cunningham was in the rear of a taxi cab in downtown Nashville when he attempted to leave his wife, Megan Purcel, late July 3rd. Purcel was observed attempting to climb through the passenger side window of a taxi cab on Broadway. As the taxi slowed and came to a stop, she began to kick the vehicle and then climbed onto the hood while yelling at the driver. Purcel stated her husband, Michael Cunningham, was in the back seat of the tax and was trying to leave her. During the commotion, Cunningham exited the tax and began to walk away from the scene on Broadway. Officers caught up with him, reported he reeked of alcohol and determined that he was unable to care for himself. Cunningham was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication. His wife was booked on separate charges.

NASHVILLE, TN — 38-year-old Mirwais Habibi was involved in a domestic altercation with Nagis Habibi at their Skyline Ridge Drive apartment on June 28th. When officers arrived, Nagis told them she and Mirwais had been fighting for the last two days. Nagis stated that Mirwais slapped her in the face several times and that he also grabbed her by her left arm. Both incidents left bruising, which officers observed. Nagis said that two days later, on June 30th, Mirwais held a pillow on her face for a long time, causing her to fear for her life. According to Nagis, Mirwais left with her phone shortly after this. Nagis then walked to a neighbor's house and called 911. Nagis also told officers that her two children were present during the assault. When officers spoke with Mirwais, he stated that he was very drunk and that he blacked out. According to Mirwais, he couldn't remember if he hit the victim or not. Mirwais was then taken into custody for domestic assault on June 30th.

NASHVILLE, TN — 30-year-old Larron Waller was caught after being in a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend Destiny Cruzado-Acosta at Speedway on Gallatin Pike on July 2nd. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Acosta, who informed them she let Waller drive her vehicle but asked for her keys back. Acosta informed officers that she was in the passenger seat and Waller was driving when she asked for her keys back. Waller then refused to give Acosta her keys back, and in response to this, Acosta began to record him on her cell phone. Officers then viewed a video from earlier that night showing Acosta asking Waller for her keys back multiple times. Waller then told Acosta, "Stop recording me," and swung his hand at the phone, smacking it out of Acosta's hand. Acosta informed officers that Waller smacked her hands when he smacked the phone and felt the contact to be excessive and unnecessary. Waller was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault. Waller was also previously arrested in April 2024 for punching a different girlfriend in 2023.

NASHVILLE, TN — 32-year-old Megan Purcel was observed attempting to climb through the passenger side window of a taxi cab on Broadway in downtown Nashville late July 3rd. As the taxi slowed and came to a stop, she began to kick the vehicle and then climbed onto the hood while yelling at the driver. She stated her husband, Michael Cunningham, was in the back seat of the tax and was trying to leave her. During the commotion, Cunningham exited the taxi and began walking down Broadway, away from the scene. Purcel was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Her husband was later also charged with public intoxication.

NASHVILLE, TN — 30-year-old Marcus Bernard Jackson was observed driving a red 2016 Nissan Altima on a closed road near 6th Avenue South and Demonbreun Street late June 23rd. Additional officers were called for assistance with an intoxicated driver, later identified as Jackson. When they arrived, they were advised that Jackson was speeding down Demonbreun Street and nearly struck officers who were signaling him to stop. After Jackson exited the car, he was detained until additional units got there. Responding officers requested him to perform sobriety tests; he agreed and showed multiple signs of impairment and reeked of alcohol. Jackson denied drinking and refused to submit a chemical sample for testing. Jackson was taken then into custody for reckless driving, driving under the influence, disobeying traffic laws, and an implied consent violation.

NASHVILLE, TN — 26-year-old Cameron Simmons was involved in a domestic altercation with his sister, Kimberly Donelson, at their Anderson Road residence on June 21st. When officers arrived, they spoke with Donelson. Donelson stated that their mother and Simmons were arguing over her mother's vehicle. The vehicle had some mechanical issues, but Simmons continued to use it frequently. Donelson informed officers that she went upstairs to confront her brother about disrespecting their mother. When she asked Simmons to calm down and stop being disrespectful, he and his girlfriend, Terra Flye, started attacking her. Donelson sustained numerous injuries but was unsure which ones came from Simmons or Flye. Officers then spoke with Simmons, who claimed that he never touched his sister and that the altercation was between her and his girlfriend. Officers then spoke with their mother, who stated that Simmons did hit his sister and that they were all fighting during the incident. Due to the statements made and several scratches on Donelson's body, Officers deemed Simmons to be the primary aggressor and took him into custody for domestic assault.

NASHVILLE, TN — 35-year-old Justin Smith was involved in a domestic altercation with his father, Christopher Smith, at their Ristau Drive residence on July 1st. When officers arrived, they spoke with Christopher. He told them that Justin works for him and is lazy and fat. Justin began lifting weights after Christopher told him he was lazy. Christopher informed the officers that Justin became very upset and approached him, grabbed him, and slapped him. Officers noticed redness and marks on Christopher's torso as well as on his back that were consistent with him being slapped by Justin. Officers then spoke with Justin, who initially stated that Christopher was not proud of him and was never good enough for his father. Justin claimed he began lifting weights after his father called him fat but stated that there was no physical alteration, only a verbal altercation with his father. Officers observed that both Justin and Christopher had been drinking. Based on the injuries and statements, Justin was identified as the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

NASHVILLE, TN — 22-year-old Edward Hunter Brown threatened one of his neighbors, Jaimen Killian, at the Lewis Street Apartment Complex on June 30th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Killian, who stated that he was outside on his balcony when Brown threatened to kill him while holding a knife. Police were previously at this location on June 29th regarding similar threats, during which officers advised Brown to stay away from Killian and that he could be arrested if he continued threatening him. Melody Hartmire, a witness, spoke with officers and corroborated Killian’s statements. Brown was later taken into custody for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
