Please join us in thanking City of Hope for hosting Walk for Hope in Orange County on Sept. 8.

The event brought together nearly 2,000 patients, survivors, friends, and family members who raised more than $300,000 to expand City of Hope’s cancer research, clinical trials, and patient care.

Remember playing musical chairs in grade school? How you'd linger in front of a chair until the last possible moment, until the kid in front of you moved and then you'd hustle forward to the next chair in hopes the music wouldn't stop before you got to it?

The grown up version of that is the shade when queuing up for gas on a sunny morning at Costco. The cars only move up to the next patch of shade when the car in front has done so as well.

Some games never change. Only difference is the music is now 80's rock blaring from the Honda in front of me.

I just sent the October issues of Fountain Valley Living and Huntington Beach Living to the printer. It’s a couple days past our usual print deadline because of all the last-minute election ads.

If your ad isn’t among them, there’s still time to reach voters before Election Day. Our November issues will arrive in the mail on Oct. 31.

If you’re running for office and want to get in front of FV & HB voters before the election, act now.
