FASTEST WOMAN ON WATER, Mary Rife McCally, shown taking motorsports legend Mario Andretti for a 168.32 mph quarter-mile pass at Long Beach Marine Stadium. Still holding her title today of 206.42 mph, KB® All Star Proud Mary was powered by a blown fuel (nitro) Keith Black® 426 Hemi. I think this photo was taken after their jaunt. Mario is smiling and says he "won't do that again." In 1977, Mary was honored as Driver of the Year by the NDBA. She also appeared on "To Tell the Truth" in 1975. I bet that was a fun show.

THE IMPRESSIVE EASTERN RAIDER, AL HANNA's Mustang Funny car. This East Coast Match racer ran in the low 6's at sizzling speeds of 240+ mph. Powered by his Keith Black Hemi, this car was a force to be reckoned with.

LITTLEFIELD & BAYS AA/FC, boiling the hides at the now gone Baylands (Fremont Drag Strip) in Northern California. Mert Littlefield not only built blowers, but drove this Keith Black powered badass funny car too. From what I can find, he recorded the first 5-second pass at Orange County Int'l Raceway (in a funny car).

Who would like to go back to those days?

The Kaisers' Keith Black® 426 ci nitro-burning, supercharged Hemi helped them stay on top in a tough field of competition--not to mention the skills of their driver, Al Bush. This team racked up countless wins, high points and World Records!

WHEN YOUR KEITH BLACK RACING ENGINE wants to light up the night sky. In Red Bluff, California, during final round, the blown fuel hydro Red Baron was paired up with Smoke on the Water, the then world record holder. Both boats running KB 426 engines. Red Baron, thanks to the expert tuning of Pete Kaiser--the father of the younger Pete Kaiser running Nostalgia Top Fuel today--pulled out a blazing win over Smoke.

FORCE FED, PRO-MOD TRUCK (1964 EH Holden Ute) from Down Under belonging to Alan and Lisa Mahnkoph. In Australian, trucks are called Utes. This one runs a 447ci Keith Black® Olds. Quarter mile stats: 6.84 ET @ 204mph. Well done guys!

T-BUCKET TWINS in a '32 Ford. What's better than a 572 ci Keith Black® Hemi? Two, of course! Meet "Twice Blown." Don't know who owns this, but they got my attention. Let me know if you can shed some light on who owns this fantastic AA/FA. The car was built in Stevensville, MI, by Steve Wright and detailed to perfection. And, it's street legal.
