We’re about to cross the finish line! The Control Room is done! Tracking, ISO’s, and Lounge are really close. Booked a few sessions this morning. Feels good to be beck! 🤘🎶 Big thanks to Mark Wenner of Studio Construction Service for all your hard work over the years and recently installing the acoustics. We’ve drawn it and talked it through so much and now it’s finally reality!

Happy Labor Day! We’re laboring away over here. All the wiring was completed last week and this week we’re well into acoustic. Big shout out to for the outstanding wiring work! Keep rockin’ 🤘

Progress Update - Core construction is done! Acoustic treatment is half way finished and moving has begun. Next week is wiring then finishing the acoustics the week after. Next two phases are gonna be a lot of fun. Almost to the finish line! 🤘🎶

Progress Update — Exterior paint and stain is finished. Floors and drop ceiling are in. Accent wall and columns are in progress and lookin great! Shout out to over at Fitzgerald Wood for a great selection of fine wood species. We’re getting close now! Monteith and their crews are doing a great job. We are rounding the corner!

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

For the past 6 years, we've been working towards the goal of building a custom professional recording studio here in Wilmington. It's been a long journey filled with ups and downs, extended pauses, compromises, and breakthroughs. Near the end of it all, I'm happy to announce that we're finally here! Coming this August, we'll be moving Hourglass Studios for the final time to our new state-of-the-art recording studio.

So much has gone into the design of the studio and we couldn't be more pleased with how it's taking shape! That said, I'd like to thank Monteith Construction for their continued hard work and commitment to bringing this project to life. Special thanks to Zack Messick, Zack Williams, Natalie Oakes, and the rest of the team for making it happen. A special thanks to Mark Wenner of Studio Construction Service in Nashville. Mark has been with us since day one, designing the studio, its acoustics, and various other aspects of the build. Another special thanks to Kersting Architecture and Toby Keeton as lead architect for the project. Kersting and their team have also been with us since day one. They've stuck with us to overcome all the hurdles we faced, turning those hurdles into launch pads for better designs and stronger ideas. Also, a special thanks to our families for their endless support all along the way. Last and far from least, we'd like to thank all the amazing artists in Wilmington and the surrounding areas that continue to choose Hourglass Studios to produce your music. Without you this wouldn't be possible.

We look forward to taking things to the next level in our new studio! Stay tuned for weekly updates on the build.
