With as many as 1000 local area events published in an easy to read grid format each month, SOKY Happenings has become the place to turn for what’s happening! As we continue to grow, we have added informative and interesting content to entertain and spread the “good stuff” that makes our area such a wonderful place to live. SOKY Happenings continues to become as diverse as the community we serve. The readers of SOKY Happenings are people in the community who are active and looking for things to do! People with time and money to enjoy all that makes South Central Kentucky a great place to live. We know this by the feedback we receive from our readers directly, event coordinators who have seen the results and from our advertisers who continue to reap the rewards of sponsoring SOKY Happenings and reaching our audience. Important Update regarding parking STARTING Monday, JULY 29, 2024... We anticipate the parking lot closure lasting three days.

We will have to close some of our parking areas due to construction.

This map shows the four areas that will be available for our customers to use for parking.

Area 1 is our main parking lot where you pull in off S. McElwain Road;
Area 2 is our grassy lot that can be accessed through the entrance that is a little farther down S. McElwain;

Area 3 is the grassy area around the gravel drive (near the playground) leading from the new back parking lot to the farm

Area 4 is the grassy area in front of and beside the jumping pillow. Areas 3 & 4 can be accessed by turning at the Chaney Farm and immediately turning right on the gravel drive toward the Dairy Barn (restaurant).

If you are coming from Bowling Green, the farm entrance is on the right just past the restaurant and if you're coming from Franklin, it will be on the left just before the restaurant.

Thank you for your patience with all our construction. We are so looking forward to everything being completed and ready to go!

Aloha!! We are excited to once again be partnering with our Warren County Public Library to host the Back to School Luau and STEAM Night at the Russell Sims Aquatic Center! The event will be July 29th from 6pm-8pm. This event is FREE to the public, so bring the whole family out for a fun night at the waterpark! We will be collecting school supply donations at the admissions gates for our local community!

So what exactly is a STEAM Night?!?! STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts ande mathematics, and the night will be an awesome way to celebrate the end of summer, while also having fun getting your brains ready to head back to school! There will be several different activities located around the pool deck representing all that STEAM stands for, such as build a boat to see if it floats, race rubber ducks down the slides, a cannon ball competition, and MORE!
