Newborn at home so the dog has to go .
For those who give up their dogs when they have a baby, I'm posting this photo of a family whose 15-year-old Jack Russel Terrier is treated as one of the children (because he was their first child) and who is the protector of his two human brothers and sisters.
Never use the excuse that you had to let your dog go because you have a baby in the family and the doctor advised you blah blah blah and other lame excuses.
Never abandon your pets. They are family 😍

This man was forced to surrender his dog to the Humane Society due to a long hospital stay. A nurse found out about this and immediately went to the shelter and adopted the dog. She brings him to visit daily and will return him as soon as the man is released!

We found Parker, tied to a tree in a park in NY a little over a year ago. She had been severely abused and weighed only 17 pounds on her current frame. After a year of doctor visits and a lot of dental work, she is a happy, healthy girl who loves everyone she meets. We adore her!

"Two months ago I adopted this girl. Her name was Vitória, but I was not a big fan of that name...I wrote down three name options on three pieces of paper, I put the cookies on it and she chose Greta Maria.
We don't know how old she is for sure (we think she's 2), she spent her life tied up, sleeping on concrete. She had never taken a bath, she stank so much that even a flea wouldn't talk to her. She didn't even know what the sun looked like.
Today Greta Maria is Universal. Photo of the proud smiles of those who managed to climb alone on the puff to take in the sun."

Let them grow old with the same love that they let you grow ... let them speak and tell repeated stories with the same patience and interest that they heard yours as a child ... let them overcome, like so many times when they let you win ... let them enjoy their friends just as they let you … let them enjoy the talks with their grandchildren, because they see you in them ... let them enjoy living among the objects that have accompanied them for a long time, because they suffer when they feel that you tear pieces of this life away ... let them be wrong, like so many times you have been wrong and they didn’t embarrass you by correcting you ... LET THEM LIVE and try to make them happy the last stretch of the path they have left to go; give them your hand, just like they gave you their hand when you started your path!

Unlike many other tribes, Pine Ridge has resisted casinos and maintains a firm grip on their culture and traditions. This is Billy Mills' and Russell Means' tribe. Quite a few more Indian Country heavyweights came out of Pine Ridge. Like the Bronx is New York's hardest hard, Pine Ridge is Indian Country's hardest hard.
