NGO Monitor, a Jerusalem-based research institute, sent a delegation comprised of experts in terror, international law and members of families affected by hostage situations with the goal of challenging the United Nations Human Rights Council’s (UNHRC) one-sided narrative in the ongoing session, which has chosen to single out Israel for condemnation, despite the atrocities committed by Hamas.
The delegation which included Anne Herzberg Legal Advisor at NGO monitor and Ella Ben Ami daughter of Raz Ben-Ami, a hostage released in a previous deal, and daughter of Ohad Ben Ami, who is still being held by Hamas.
The delegation hung posters of hostages which were torn down within hours, and were targeted with charges of failing to adhere to language that is commensurate with dignity inherent to the discussion" and interruptions with points of order from the PA representative.

NGO Monitor, a Jerusalem-based project of the Institute for NGO Research, sent a delegation of human rights experts to this week’s United Nations Human Rights Council (@usaforunhcr session, in response to the Council’s ongoing obsession and biased condemnation of Israel.
Despite ongoing atrocities committed by terrorist organizations like Hamas, including hostage-taking, sexual violence, and other heinous acts, the UNHRC has chosen to single out Israel for condemnation once again in several sessions to be held this week in Geneva. There will also be numerous presentations and side events by radical NGOs, that will inevitably feature blatantly antisemitic content. NGO Monitor’s delegation, comprised of experts in international law and terror, and family members of hostages, aims to challenge the Council's one-sided narrative and condemn its complicity in perpetuating injustice.
Key speakers include Anne Herzberg, Legal Advisor at NGO Monitor, who will address the Council, shedding light on the atrocity denial perpetuated by such biased discussions. Additionally, Ella Ben-Ami, daughter of Raz Ben-Ami, a hostage released in a previous deal, and daughter of Ohad Ben Ami, who is still being held by Hamas, will speak on behalf of affected families, underscoring the human rights violations perpetrated by Hamas and the need to address them.
"NGO Monitor categorically rejects the UNHRC's unsubstantiated and aggressive attack on Israel. The UNHRC's blatant bias fuels hate and conflict; it must be exposed and confronted," said Professor Gerald M. Steinberg, Founder and President of NGO Monitor.
Anne Herzberg reiterated the call for international action, stating, "The international community cannot afford to be silent in the face of such gross injustice. We call on all nations to reject the UNHRC's biased agenda and work towards genuine peace and human rights for all."
