PALM COAST, Fla. — The Flagler County Sheriff's Office issued an alert for an armed and dangerous suspect in Flagler County Monday.

Jebea Johnson, 21, assaulted a gas station clerk on Old Kings Road in Palm Coast last Friday, according to FCSO.

He had recently been released from prison, after serving time for domestic violence and aggravated assault.

Deputies found dog f***s, urine, exposed nails, THC wax and mushrooms in the father's home, they said.

BUNNELL, Fla. — Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a man after his 15-month-old daughter was taken to the hospital for eating a ma*****na joint, the agency reported.

Cody Spiegelhalter, 26, went to the bathroom after rolling the joint for himself, according to deputies. That's when his daughter had eaten most of the joint. She was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.The symptoms that the girl suffered are currently unknown.

Deputies visited the home following a family member's report that the child was visiting her father and had to be taken to AdventHealth for medical treatment. She was then transferred to a pediatric hospital for further treatment.

Upon entering, deputies interviewed Spiegelhalter and determined she was hospitalized after ingesting ma*****na.

Spiegelhalter's home had dog f***s and urine on the floors, scattered garbage and exposed nails and plumbing. Deputies also said there was no working air conditioning.

Law enforcement found loose ma*****na all over the home, most within reach of a toddler, plus THC wax and a small amount of mushroom within plain view.

Deputies found dog f***s, urine, exposed nails, THC wax and mushrooms in the father's home, they said.

“There must be something in the water”
The Curt Towne Band formed on the westside of Jacksonville, FL. in 2013. Cutting their teeth and paying their dues the same way their brothers did back in the day. There is nothing like Southern Rock and Roll born on the westside of Jacksonville, Florida. and baptized in black-waters of the Florida swamps!

The CTB has been dedicated to writing, and performing original music since the beginning. Their first recordings featured a number of fierce, foot stomping hard driving songs; that let you know Southern Rock is still alive and well! This includes favorites such as "Whatcha Gonna Do" and “All or Nothin'”. Their upcoming album “At It Again” features guest appearances by Barry Lee Harwood (Rossington Collins) and Monica Dedmon (backing vocals) along with their HIT single “Cyclone”!

The Curt Towne Band has made friends, and fans from around the world by performing their “All Original - Old School” brand of Southern Rock with Curt Towne on lead guitar, Barry Rapp (Henry Paul Band) on lead vocals and keys, Greg “GT” Thompson on bass guitar, and Mike "Thunderfoot" Cansler on drums and percussion, along with Mrs. Carol Bristow (.38 Special and Lynyrd Skynyrd) backing vocals.

Curt and the band have been privileged to share the stage, and support their friends in Lynyrd Skynyrd, .38 Special, ZZ Top, The Outlaws, The Marshall Tucker Band, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Molly Hatchet, Hank Williams, Jr., Blackberry Smoke, Pat Travers, Montgomery Gentry, Cody Jinks, and Black Stone Cherry to name a few.

They continue to be a rising star in the new era of Southern Rock, while embracing the traditions of those great bands who blazed the trail before them.

The Teen Driver Challenge is an 8-hour defensive driving course designed to reduce the chances of being involved in a crash. The course, operated by the Orange County Sheriff's Office in partnership with the Florida Sheriffs Association, is open to drivers between the ages of 15 and 19.

American Eels in the Apalachicola
Our freshwater fisheries researchers collected these American Eels (Anguilla rostrata) while conducting our annual long-term monitoring survey on the Apalachicola River, where the population appears very healthy. American Eels are found throughout most of the state in both fresh and brackish waters and sometimes in Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico drainages. During their lifetimes (which are known to be over 40 years!), American Eels travel great distances, including an obscure spawning journey to the Sargasso Sea that leaves scientist with much to learn about this species.

What a great weekend! While a few hundred (elves) kayakers raised funds for ‘Toys for Tots’ on the Silver River, these two Scouts were on land giving a big helping hand, pulling A LOT of invasive Caesar’s w**ds at Silver Springs State Park as they both work towards the rank of Life. Thank you Scouts!

Due to very low RSVP interest the Holiday party that was scheduled for 10-12 December 9th has been cancelled. However, the Holiday Bake-off contest will still take place. Those members interested in entering the contest will need to drop their entry off at the Ag Center 111 Yelvington Rd East Palatka, FL Saturday December 9th between 9:30-10AM. The results of the contest will be announced on the Putnam 4-H Social Media pages and youth will be notified. We hope to see lots of creative entries submitted.

Log into 4-H Online https://fl.4honline.com/ #/user/sign-in and sign into your family account then click events, register for new event and find the event TCAA 4-H Agriculture Days/ Potato Project (Jan15 & April 20) click that event then select the registration type from drop down menu and complete the questionnaire clicking next on each page until you get to where it says Finish and click Finish.

Registration for the 2024 TCAA Potato Days is now open for UF Ifas Putnam County 4-H, UF IFAS Extension St Johns County 4-H, and UF IFAS Flagler County 4-H youth. Registration closes on January 5th. Planting will take place on Monday January 15th and harvesting is set for Saturday April 20th.

Officer Specialist Michael Sapp’s journey with leather crafting began in 2021. As he continued to learn about the many useful applications that leather products have, he shifted his work to focus on products that could be used by Law Enforcement as badge holders. He now produces a variety of items for both civilian and law enforcement communities and finds this work to be very rewarding and enjoyable.
